This study aims to evaluate the prevalence of artificial sweeteners in multivitamin supplements registered in Italy. The National Registry of Dietary Supplements was examined in December 2023 to extract data relating to supplements identified as "multivitamins". Then, for each supplement the specific composition was searched online.

Azithromycin, a macrolide antibiotics, is one of the frequently used drugs in the children and elder. However, due to these population difficulty in swallowing and inefficient absorption, and azithromycin inherent poor solubility, bitter taste, and instability in the stomach acidic condition, it is a challenge to reach high oral bioavailability of this drug. To overcome these issues, we developed and characterized the effervescent granules containing azithromycin solid dispersion.

Background: Dry powder inhaler is a popular approach to pulmonary drug delivery to treat tuberculosis. Spray dried Nanoparticles using lactose carrier is extensively used for pulmonary drug delivery. Though lactose nanoparticles show deep lung deposition, they fail to uniformly disperse nanoparticles in its original form in alveoli.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the anti-fatigue effect of natural polysaccharide (LBP) during exercise, develop a functional anti-fatigue effervescent tablet by applying LBP to practical products, and help patients who have difficulty swallowing conventional tablets or capsules. LBP was extracted with water, and DEAE-52 cellulose was used for purification. The chemical structure and monosaccharide composition of LBP by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FI-IR) and ion chromatography (IC).
