Background: Surgical techniques for biceps tenodesis vary in approach, fixation strategy, and anatomic location without clear superior technique for this common procedure.
Hypothesis/purpose: The purpose of this study was to prospectively evaluate a randomized cohort of patients undergoing arthroscopic suprapectoral (ASBT) with interference screw fixation using an inlay technique versus mini-open subpectoral (MOBT) with a unicortical button implant using an onlay technique with regards to 1) clinical outcome measures and 2) structural healing as evaluated by ultrasound.
Methods: From May 2017 to April 2021, patients undergoing biceps tenodesis were preoperatively randomized to either ASBT or MOBT.

Background: The incidence of revision shoulder arthroplasty continues to rise, and infection is a common indication for revision surgery. Treatment of periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) in the shoulder remains a controversial topic, with the literature reporting varying methodologies, including the use of debridement and implant retention, single-stage and 2-stage surgeries, antibiotic spacers, and resection arthroplasty. Single-stage revision has been shown to have a low rate of recurrent infection, making it more favorable because it precludes the morbidity of a 2-stage operation.

Case: This case report describes the successful treatment of a year-round teenage softball pitcher who sustained a proximal biceps tendon rupture who underwent successful subpectoral tenodesis. To our knowledge, this is the only reported case of such an injury occurring in an underhand throwing teenage athlete.
Conclusion: This case highlights an unusual instance of a sport-related injury in an adolescent softball pitcher, suggesting that the softball pitch in elite athletes may put similar stress on the shoulder to overhead throwing athletes over time and further demonstrating that patients may continue to have success at elite levels of competition after tenodesis.

Background: The continuous increase in the rate of nipple sparing mastectomy (NSM), the development of several reconstructive techniques and the following introduction of acellular derma matrix (ADM) has revolutionized implant-based breast reconstruction. This study aimed to investigate postoperative complications, health-related quality of life (HRQoL) and patients' satisfaction in patients undergoing NSM and breast reconstruction with or without ADM.
Methods: Enrolled patients were divided into three groups: immediate breast reconstruction (IBR) with definitive implant and ADM (Group A), IBR only with definitive prosthesis (Group B), and two-stage breast reconstruction (Group C).
