Background: The aim of this research is the experimental study measuring stability of the orthodontic miniscrews «Turbo» designed in Russia in comparison with its foreign analogues, namely, «Vector Tas» (USA) and «BioRay» (Taiwan).
Material And Methods: Four self-drilling orthodontic miniscrews of each manufacturer, i.e. «Vector Tas», USA, (10-mm length, 2-mm diameter), «BioRay», Taiwan, (10-mm length, 2-mm diameter), «Turbo», Russia, (9-mm length, 2-mm diameter), a total of 12 items, were inserted into native pig mandible sample. Their stability was estimated by torques using a dynamometer (Zahoransky AG, Germany) and «Periotest» device («Periotest M», Germany). This experiment was conducted in native pig mandible sample immediately after the screws' placement and in 7 days after loading at an angle 70°.
Results: After application of a load, the decreased torque values and increased Periotest values were registered in all orthodontic miniscrews.
Conclusion: Orthodontic miniscrews «Turbo» designed in Russia are slightly inferior to «VectorTas» miniscrews and superior to «BioRay» miniscrews in primary stability and stability after 7 days under loading.

Protraction of a mandibular second molar to substitute the adjacent missing first molar is challenging in clinical practice. In this case report, we demonstrated a 21-year-old patient with an untreatable periapical lesion of the mandibular right first molar. The adjacent mandibular second molar had normal root length and the third molar was mesially-impacted.

Objective: Miniscrews are commonly utilized as temporary anchorage devices (TADs) in cases of maxillary protrusion and premolar extraction. This study aimed to investigate the effects and potential side effects of two conventional miniscrew configurations on the maxillary incisors.
Methods: Eighty-two adult patients with maxillary dentoalveolar protrusion who had undergone bilateral first premolar extraction were retrospectively divided into three groups: non-TAD, two posterior miniscrews only (P-TADs), and two anterior and two posterior miniscrews combined (AP-TADs).

An 18-year-old Chinese woman presented with chief complaints of crowded teeth and mild mandibular prognathism. Clinical and imaging examinations revealed a concave profile, a protruded chin, increased lower anterior facial height mild, skeletal Class III and Angle's Class III malocclusion, with anterior crossbites, and crowded teeth. Extraction camouflaged therapy combined with miniscrews skeletal anchorage was employed to relieve crowding and retract the mandibular anterior teeth.

Introduction: The cant of the occlusal plane in the frontal plane reflects facial asymmetry. Its treatment requires close collaboration between the orthodontist and the maxillofacial surgeon. In case of mild cant, treatment consists in coordination of dental arches followed by mandibular osteotomy.

This case report describes a complex full-step asymmetrical Class II division 1 high-angle in an adult patient treated by extraction of compromised first molars with a preadjusted lingual appliance. Since the patient presented severe sagittal and vertical discrepancies combined with an Izard orthofrontal profile with upper lip protrusion, an extraction camouflage was performed with the twofold aim of obtaining ideal occlusal relationship and profile improvement, correcting occlusal plane cant by selective intrusion with interradicular miniscrews. Appropriate biomechanical strategies, including extraction choice and anchorage control during space closure, were needed to achieve the planned results.
