The atypical static brain functions related to the executive control network (ECN), default mode network (DMN), and salience network (SN) in people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) has been widely reported. However, their transient functions in ASD are not clear. We aim to identify transient network states (TNSs) using coactivation pattern (CAP) analysis to characterize the age-related atypical transient functions in ASD.

We present the case of a 42-year-old Indian male with prurigo nodularis, exhibiting multiple verrucous, brownish-black nodules on the left lower and right upper extremities, with milder involvement of the right lower extremity. The lesions were asymmetrically distributed in a near-linear pattern, with prominent white hyperkeratosis and associated moderate pruritus and paresthesia. Differential diagnoses included pemphigoid nodularis, verruca vulgaris, and hypertrophic lichen planus, with a biopsy confirming prurigo nodularis.

Objective: Autoantibody-associated psychosis represents a distinct disease subgroup of patients with schizophrenia with a suspected autoimmune origin. Although preliminary studies have suggested adjunctive drug treatment strategies targeting the immune system, further validation of these findings is warranted. Autoantibodies against SFT2D2 have been identified in patients with schizophrenia.

Neurodevelopmental disorders pose significant clinical challenges related to atypical brain development, often manifesting as learning disabilities, developmental delays, intellectual deficits, behavioral issues, epilepsy, and sleep disturbances. Among genetic neuropsychiatric conditions, synaptopathies are notable for their impact on synaptic function, resulting in varied neuropsychiatric phenotypes. Among these, SYNGAP1-associated syndrome is characterized by intellectual disability, global developmental delay, autism, and epilepsy, primarily due to loss-of-function mutations.

Objective: To investigate differences in arterial involvement patterns on F-FDG PET-CT between predominant cranial and isolated extracranial phenotypes of giant cell arteritis (GCA).
Methods: A retrospective review of F-FDG PET-CT findings was conducted on 140 patients with confirmed GCA. The patients were divided into two groups: the cranial group, which presented craniofacial ischemic symptoms either at diagnosis or during follow-up, and the isolated extracranial group which never exhibited such manifestations.
