Schwannomas are rare, benign tumours arising from Schwann cells, with oesophageal cases representing a small fraction. Their variety of symptoms and nonspecific imaging features often make preoperative diagnosis challenging, frequently requiring immunohistochemical staining for confirmation. We describe the case of a 62-year-old woman with progressive dysphagia, found to have a subepithelial mass at the gastroesophageal junction (GOJ).

Nasal and paranasal sinus masses can arise from a wide range of conditions, both benign and malignant, as well as congenital or acquired. Diagnosing these masses is often challenging, requiring a combination of nasal endoscopy, imaging studies, and histopathological analysis. Initial imaging frequently involves computed tomography or cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) to evaluate the bony anatomy of the nasal cavity and surrounding sinuses, while magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is typically used for detailed assessment of soft tissues and to aid in differential diagnosis when the findings are inconclusive.

Lobular endocervical glandular hyperplasia (LEGH) corresponds to gastric metaplasia, but is regarded as a pathological condition with subtle morphological abnormalities. LEGH is a benign lesion and a precursor to gastric-type adenocarcinoma.

Sclerosing adenosis (SA) is a subtype of adenosis characterized by proliferative adenosis and stromal sclerosis with distortion of the terminal ductal lobular unit. Although SA is the most prevalent benign breast condition among middle-aged women, it may be associated with a two-fold increase in breast cancer risk. Microscopic findings of ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) in a SA (SA-DCIS) may mimic microinvasive carcinoma or even invasive carcinoma, which may result in overtreatment by a breast surgeon.
