Background: Hip dysplasia diagnosed after skeletal maturity is distinct from developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) in infants and young children. While the natural history of DDH in infants and young children is well-established, the association between hip dysplasia diagnosed after skeletal maturity and osteoarthritis is less clear. This narrative review summarizes existing literature assessing characteristics of hip dysplasia diagnosed after skeletal maturity associated with progression to osteoarthritis.

Background: One method for noninvasive and simple urinary microalbumin testing is urine test strips. However, when visually assessing urine test strips, accurate assessment may be difficult due to environmental influences-such as lighting color and intensity-and the physical and psychological influences of the assessor. These complicate the formation of an objective assessment.

Maintenance and breeding of experimental organisms are fundamental to life sciences, but both initial and running costs, and hands-on zootechnical demands can be challenging for many laboratories. Here, we first aimed to further develop a simple protocol for reliable inland culture of tunicate model species of the genus. We cultured both and in controlled experimental conditions, with a focus on dietary variables, and quantified growth and maturation parameters.

Background: Gallbladder cholesterol polyp (GCP) and gallbladder adenoma (GA) are easily confused in clinical diagnosis. This study aims to establish a nomogram prediction model for preoperative prediction of the risk of GA patients.
Study Design: We retrospectively collected clinical data of GCP or GA patients who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) between January 2020 and April 2023.
Background: Platelets are correlated with myeloid leukemia (ML), but to date, there have been no studies confirming the causal relationship between them.
Methods: Platelet count (PLT), mean platelet volume (MPV), plateletcrit (PCT), and platelet distribution width (PDW) data were obtained from the GWAS catalog database as exposure factors. Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) data were obtained from the FinnGen database as outcome indicators.
