"Robots set up in the operating theater. The patient's benefit after a minimally invasive approach stimulated the robotic approach of abdominal and thoracic surgical procedures. Although much more expensive, the robots improve the vision of the operating field, the precision of the gestures with a faster training course for the surgeon who operates more comfortably. Surgeons eager for technological progress quickly adopted this technique in urology and gynecology and then in thoracic and digestive procedures. In France, the support for this innovation by academic and medical institutions is limited by several factors including the supremacy of Intuitive which imposes its prices, the absence of scientifically proven superiority, the absence of surveys under the responsibility of scientific societies and the lack of criteria concerning the surgeon training."

Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is the most prevalent dilated arterial aneurysm that poses a significant threat to older adults, but the molecular mechanisms linking senescence to AAA progression remain poorly understood. This study aims to identify cellular senescence-related genes (SRGs) implicated in AAA development and assess their potential as therapeutic targets. Four hundred and twenty-nine differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified from the GSE57691 training set, and 867 SRGs were obtained.

Introduction: Global coronal alignment is mainly assessed by C7 plumbline and central sacral vertical line (CSVL), pelvic obliquity and shoulder alignment. A detailed analysis is mandatory when treating spinal deformity. It remains unclear to what extent mild scoliosis influences global coronal alignment.

Background: Neuroblastoma (NB) is a highly heterogeneous and common pediatric malignancy with a poor prognosis. Ferroptosis, an iron-dependent cell death pathway, may play a crucial role in NB tumor progression and immune response. This study aimed to investigate ferroptosis in NB to identify potential therapeutic targets and develop predictive models for prognosis and recurrence.

The noise equivalent temperature difference (NETD) indicates the minimum temperature difference resolvable by using an infrared detector. The lower the NETD, the better the sensor can register small temperature differences. In this work, we proposed a strategy to achieve a high temperature resolution using a superconducting nanowire single-photon detector (SNSPD) with ultra-high sensitivity.

Immunologic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) is a condition that affects four to 18 per 100 000 children every year. In most cases, spontaneous remission occurs, but splenectomy may be proposed. Exploring the site of platelet sequestration can help to better predict potential poor responders to splenectomy, but In-radiolabeled platelet scintigraphy (IPS) can be difficult to perform in children with very few platelets.
