Background: The goal of the present study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Bailing capsules, which is a traditional Chinese drug that can improve lung functionality when used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients.

Methods: A comprehensive search will be performed on the following primary electronic databases: PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, and WanFang database. A search of secondary sources includes reference lists of included studies. Two pairs of review authors will screen and scrutinize selected articles. This study will analyze continuous data as mean differences and dichotomous data as odds ratios, both with 95% confidence intervals. A sensitivity analysis will also be conducted to evaluate the stableness of the outcomes. RevMan 5.3 software was adopted to accomplish all the statistical analysis.

Results: The results obtained in this research shall be published in a peer-reviewed journal.

Conclusion: Based on the interpretations of the results, useful conclusions will be presented. These conclusions will offer additional insights with useful evidence to assess whether it is viable to use Bailing capsules as an effective and safety treatment option for COPD.

Ethics And Dissemination: The present work does not involve any humans or animals; therefore, ethical approval is not needed.

To explore the clinical effects and adverse reactions of Bailing capsules combined with levothyroxine sodium for autoimmune thyroiditis, 70 patients with autoimmune thyroiditis were retrospectively enrolled and divided into the Bailing treatment group and the control, both consisting of 35 patients. The control group was treated with levothyroxine sodium alone, and the treatment group with Bailing capsules combined with levothyroxine sodium. The clinical efficacy, thyroid function indicators, antibodies and inflammatory indicators, and adverse drug reactions were analyzed.

Article Synopsis
  • T cell infiltration and differentiation play a crucial role in lupus nephritis (LN), which is a severe kidney condition often associated with lupus, and earlier studies indicated that cordyceps (WCP) may help protect the kidneys and reduce fibrosis.
  • This research aimed to explore how WCP affects the immune system in LN and how it works, using various laboratory techniques on lupus-prone mice over an 8-week treatment period.
  • Results showed that WCP significantly improved kidney health by lowering urinary proteins and harmful antibodies, enhancing kidney structure, and decreasing harmful T cell activity, suggesting that WCP could be a beneficial treatment for managing lupus nephritis.

Article Synopsis
  • Bailing capsule (BLC) shows potential for treating thyroiditis by modulating the autoimmune system, with this study focusing on its chemical profile and therapeutic mechanisms using network pharmacology and molecular docking methods.
  • The analysis identified 58 compounds in BLC, primarily nucleosides and amino acids, and highlighted 16 active components linked to key targets like AKT1 and MAPK3, which play roles in thyroid hormone regulation and inflammatory immune responses.
  • Molecular docking confirmed that compounds such as adenosine and guanosine strongly bind to targets associated with the development of thyroiditis, providing insights for further research on BLC's therapeutic mechanisms.
