Article Abstract
Squamous cell carcinoma occurring in the rectum is one of the rare malignancies that has been discovered. Most squamous cell carcinomas that surface in the gastrointestinal tract tend to occur in either the esophagus or the anal canal. However, the rare incidence of rectal squamous cell carcinomas has raised quite a few questions on the hypothetical etiologies, prognosis, and optimal treatment sequence of such a disease course in modern medicine. In this report, we present the case of a 63-year-old gentleman who came to the clinic with change in bowel habits such as constipation and bright red blood in his stool. Colonoscopy revealed a 4.1 cm polyp in the distal rectum, which upon biopsy was confirmed to be a well-differentiated keratinizing squamous cell carcinoma. This case allows us to engage in discussions over potential etiologies and current treatment management for such a rare malignancy.

Objective: To evaluate whether supracricoid partial laryngectomy (SCPL) may be a viable alternative to radiation therapy (RT) for patients with glottic cT3N0M0 squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) who are surgical candidates for total laryngectomy (TL) and respond well to platinum-based induction chemotherapy.
Methods: Retrospective case series review of 18 consecutive patients with cT3N0M0 glottic SCC, initially considered surgical candidates only for TL who showed a good response to platinum-based induction chemotherapy, managed at a French university teaching institution with either SCPL (n = 9) or RT (n = 9). The main endpoints were 10-year local control and laryngeal preservation.

The Drug-eluting bead-based bronchial arterial chemoembolization (DEB-BACE) combination immunotherapy is a rare neoadjuvant therapy for lung cancer surgery, which can significantly reduce the time it takes for lung cancer patients to undergo surgery.We report a male patient, aged 59-year-old, with Stage-III b squamous cell lung cancer accompanied by hemoptysis underwent surgical resection after DEB-BACE combination immunotherapy treatment 21 days later without obvious adverse events.

HCCC is characterized by unique pathological features, including nests, cords, or trabeculae of clear or eosinophilic tumor cells infiltrating a mucinous or hyalinized stroma. Preoperative diagnosis of Gallbladder squamous cell carcinoma (GBSCC) is difficult, and the contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) pattern has never been reported before. We present a case of GBSCC where CEUS revealed special findings that facilitated early diagnosis. CEUS demonstrated irregular peripheral ring-like enhancement during the arterial phase, with hypoenhancement in the late phases, and an irregular non-enhancing area persistently present in the center of the lesion.
