Objectives: Dermatophytosis is a group of cutaneous diseases widely distributed in human and animals. It causes serious infection in some human cases and economic losses in farm animals. The primary aim of this study is to conduct an investigation of prophylaxis and a potential therapeutic vaccine against dermatophytosis.

Materials And Methods: The rabbit was chosen as an animal model of dermatophytosis for a case control study conducted in two parts. Inactivated cells of were prepared for use as a vaccine. The prophylaxis part included vaccination of rabbits with the prepared vaccine either alone or with Freund's adjuvant, followed by infection with the same fungus. The second part included treatment of infected rabbits with an inactivated vaccine.

Results: The prepared vaccine showed prophylactic ability against infection with for more than 6 months without requiringan adjuvant and also revealed at herapeutic ability in infected animals after a short time (16 days), compared with the control group.

Conclusion: Inactivated vaccine gives animals durable protection and shortens the treatmenttime for infection with dermatophytosis.

Background: Recommendations from a trusted healthcare provider have been shown to be the most effective intervention for encouraging patients to be vaccinated. However, providers have reported feeling less prepared to address vaccination questions and having less time to discuss vaccines with patients than before the COVID-19 pandemic. Providers may benefit from a brief update about the available influenza vaccines and vaccination guidelines.

Tumor whole-cell vaccines are designed to introduce a wide range of tumor-associated antigens into the body to counteract the immunosuppression caused by tumors. In cases of lymphoma of which the specific antigen is not yet determined, the tumor whole-cell vaccine offers distinct advantages. However, there is still a lack of research on an effective preparation method for the lymphoma whole-cell vaccine.

The bacterium responsible for Lyme disease, , accumulates high levels of manganese without iron and possesses a polyploid genome, characteristics suggesting potential extreme resistance to radiation. Contrary to expectations, we report that wild-type B31 cells are radiosensitive, with a gamma-radiation survival limit for 10 wild-type cells of <1 kGy. Thus, we explored radiosensitivity through electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy by quantitating the fraction of Mn present as antioxidant Mn metabolite complexes (H-Mn).

This study developed ferritin-based nanoparticles carrying the African swine fever virus (ASFV) p30 protein and evaluated their immunogenicity, aiming to provide an experimental basis for the research on nanoparticle vaccines against ASFV. Initially, the gene sequences encoding the p30 protein and SpyTag were fused and inserted into the pCold-I vector to create the pCold-p30 plasmid. The gene sequences encoding SpyCatcher and ferritin were fused and then inserted into the pET-28a(+) vector to produce the pET-F-np plasmid.
