Objective: The objective of the present study is to develop and validate a simple, rapid stability indicating high performance liquid chromatography method for the simultaneous quantification of metformin, empagliflozin, linagliptin in bulk and pharmaceutical dosage form.
Materials And Methods: The chromatographic separation was achieved on C18 X-bridge phenyl column (250×4.6mm, 5μm particle size). The pharmaceutical analytes were quantified by diode array detector in HPLC, eluted with acetonitrile and triethylamine (70:30) as mobile phase, monitored at 240nm over a runtime of 7min.
Results: The method was linear in the range of 50-750μg/mL (r=0.999) for metformin, 0.5-7.5μg/mL (r=0.999) for empagliflozin, 0.25-3.75μg/mL (r=0.999) for linagliptin. The percentage recoveries of these 3 drugs were within acceptable limits (99.2-100.8). The method was found to be precise as % RSD<2. Forced degradation studies were conducted under acidic, basic, oxidative, reductive, photolysis, thermal conditions and showed degradation within (19.4-32.4%).
Conclusion: The validated (as per ICH guidelines) rapid method can be routinely used in quality control lab for the quantification of metformin, empagliflozin and linagliptin in raw materials as well as in pharmaceutical dosage form.

Background: During the 2023-dengue outbreak in Bangladesh, a diagnostic evaluation study was conducted to investigate concurrent Zika virus (ZIKV) and dengue virus (DENV) transmission in Dhaka in 2023.
Aims: The study explored to simultaneously detect the presence of ZIKV, DENV, and/or CHIKV while considering relevant clinical and epidemiological risk factors, using a real-time multiplex RT-PCR system. Following this, it was planned to sequence the selected samples to identify genetic variations of the ZIKV infections within the population.

Plant genetic transformation is a pivotal and essential step in modifying important agronomic traits using biotechnological tools, which primarily depend on the efficacy of transgene delivery and the plant regeneration system. Over the years, advancements in the development of delivery methods and regeneration systems have contributed to plant engineering and molecular breeding. Recent studies have demonstrated that the efficiency of plant transformation can be improved by simultaneously delivering meristem-developmental regulators, utilizing virus-mediated gene editing, and executing non-sterile in planta manipulations.

Purpose: Women with gestational diabetes (GDM) have increased risk of hypertensive disorders in pregnancy (HDP). However, knowledge remains limited for women with high-risk metabolic profiles, regardless of GDM diagnosis. This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of HDP among women at high risk for GDM, while simultaneously identifying potential predictive clinical risk factors of HDP.

Surface science instruments require excellent vacuum to ensure surface cleanliness; they also require control of sample temperature, both to clean the surface of contaminants and to control reaction rates at the surface, for example, for molecular beam epitaxy and studies of heterogeneous catalysis. Standard approaches to sample heating within high vacuum chambers involve passing current through filaments of refractory metals, which then heat the sample by convective, radiative, or electron bombardment induced heat transfer. Such hot filament methods lead to outgassing of molecules from neighboring materials that are inadvertently heated; they also produce electrons and ions that may interfere with other aspects of the surface science experiment.

Minimally invasive, image-guided endovascular procedures are becoming increasingly prevalent as techniques and technologies have advanced, particularly within the realm of neurovascular interventions. Endovascular approaches ubiquitously result in endothelial injury with subsequent risk of thromboembolic complications. Periprocedural antiplatelet agent use is an integral component of the management of patients undergoing endovascular neurointerventional procedures.
