The objective of the study is to evaluate the surgical outcome between free nasoseptal mucoperichondrial flap using septal cartilage vs fascia lata using fat in terms of morbidity, hospital stay and postoperative complications. It is a retrospective comparitive study of 127 patients, diagnosed with CSF leak and who underwent repair of anterior skull base defect using free nasoseptal mucoperichondrial graft with septal cartilage in 73 cases compared with fascia lata with fat in 54 cases over the time frame of 5 years. The success rate with free nasoseptal flap with septal cartilage was 97.3% and that with fascia lata with fat was 96.3%. There was a significant association between mean hospital stay and the technique of CSF repair (unpaired test, -0.02). In our study the complications following the repair with free nasoseptal flap with septal cartilage was significantly less ( < 0.05, chi square test). The above study concludes that in patients treated with free nasoseptal flap using septal cartilage has less hospital stay, less post-operative morbidity in the form of pain, movement and dependence for cleaning and dressing in comparison to fascia lata using fat.

Augmentation rhinoplasty requires graft with substantial volume. In cases where patient is reluctant to use costal cartilage, this can be done using septum and conchal cartilage graft. Using the technique of "stacked cartilage graft" an assembly is made using septum and conchal cartilage for nasal augmentation and contour defects.

Introduction: The anterior ethmoidal artery (AEA) flap has been demonstrated to be a reliable option for endoscopic repair of symptomatic nasal septal perforations. The use of fresh frozen cadaveric rib cartilage has been described as a safe alternative graft for rhinoplasty procedures.
Goal: The aim of this study was to discuss our initial outcomes of use of cadaveric rib cartilage graft in combination with the AEA flap in endoscopic nasal septal perforation repair.

Background: The purpose of this study was to analysis the nostril symmetry and nasal stability following secondary rhinoplasty performed with either nasal septal cartilage implantation (G1) or simple alar cartilage suspension and internal fixation (G2) in patients with unilateral secondary cleft nasal deformity.
Methods: Nostril and alar symmetry were analyzed retrospectively in 13 consecutive patients in G1 and 17 in G2. Assessment of three indexes was first performed using photogrammetric measurements of photographs at pre-operation(T1), 7 days after repair (T2), and at least 6 months after repair (T3).

The sixth costal cartilage was made into the nasal columellar support graft (strut), the nasal tip graft integrated scaffold, and the septal extension grafts.

Purpose: Septal perforation refers to a defect within the nasal septum, which subsequently creates communication between the two nasal cavities. More than one surgical approach has been described to repair nasal septal perforations; however, they have a high rate of complication.
