Introduction: Pelvic kidney is a rare congenital anomaly. The ectopic kidney is more susceptible to developing lithiasis. The management of this type of lithiasis is a challenge. The objective of this paper was to conduct a review of available literature on the treatment of stone in ectopic kidney.
Material And Methods: Description of a case of transperitoneal laparoscopic pyelolithotomy for the treatment of inferior calyceal lithiasis in a right pelvic kidney. A literature review was performed by using Pubmed. The following terms and combination terms were searched: "pelvic ectopic kidney", "ureterorenoscopy", "extracorporeal lithotripsy", "PCNL", "pyelolithotomy". We incluyed original articles, meta-analysis, review and case reports.
Results: 130 articles were excluded by title or duplication. 62 abstracts articles and them 50 full text articles were evaluated. Stone free rate were 75% (SLW), 85% (URSf), 85%-90% (PCNL) and 100% (laparoscopic pyelolithotomy). The literature on treatment on pelvic kidney is poor.
Conclusion: Factors such stone size, density and location, and upper urinary tract abnormalities, influence the choice of therapeutic approach (retrograde, percutaneous and/or laparoscopic/robotic). Laparoscopic pyelolithotomy is a safe and minimally invasive treatment option for large kidney stones with unfavorable anatomy for the endoscopic approach.

Introduction: In adult patients, most ureteropelvic junction obstruction (UPJO) occurs secondarily. Concurrent UPJO with nephrolithiasis is not rare and simultaneous treatment by performing laparoscopic pyeloplasty and endoscopic stone removal has been suggested. In the case of atypical anatomy or previously failed pyeloplasty, a laparoscopic ureterocalicostomy is preferred.

The current study aimed to investigate the feasibility and safety of robot-assisted laparoscopic resection of the isthmus in patients with symptomatic horseshoe kidney. A retrospective analysis of clinical data from four patients with symptomatic horseshoe kidney treated between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2023 at Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital was conducted. The main surgical procedures included robot-assisted laparoscopic resection of the isthmus, kidney fixation, pyeloplasty, and pyelolithotomy.

Background: The aim of this study was to report our technique and medium-term outcomes of modified robot-assisted laparoscopic dismembered pyeloplasty (RALDP) in the Lithotomy Trendelenburg position for treating adult ureteropelvic junction obstruction (UPJO) with horseshoe kidney (HSK).

Purpose: To evaluate the safety and feasibility of intraperitoneal laparoscopic surgery in Trendelenburg position (ILSTP) for pyelolithotomy, pyeloplasty, and heminephrectomy in patients with horseshoe kidneys (HSKs).
Methods: Between March 2021 and March 2024, three patients with HSKs underwent ILSSP. Of these three patients, two with pelvi-ureteric junction obstruction with recurrent kidney stones underwent pyelolithotomy and pyeloplasty, one with symptomatic nonfunctioning left moiety of a HSK was managed with heminephrectomy.
