Objective: Bilateral cleft lip nose deformity often involves nasal alar retraction. The use of autogenous auricular cartilage for correction further aggravated nasal alar retraction caused by nasal lining defects after the operation. A novel graft was developed to address bilateral cleft lip nose deformity.

Lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) and sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) are bioactive lysophospholipids derived from cell membranes that activate the endothelial differentiation gene family of G protein-coupled receptors. Activation of these receptors triggers multiple downstream signaling cascades through G proteins such as Gi/o, Gq/11, and G12/13. Therefore, LPA and S1P mediate several physiological processes, including cytoskeletal dynamics, neurite retraction, cell migration, cell proliferation, and intracellular ion fluxes.

This paper investigates event-triggered affine formation control of second-order multi-agent systems with directed communication graph. An approach based on complex-valued Laplacian is used as a means of avoiding the use of global information. Two event-triggered strategies are proposed, both of which are capable of achieving global convergence and forming the desired formation without Zeno-behavior, while also optimizing the utilization of resources.

Background: Preterm and low birth weight infants are at an early stage of development, and do not receive adequate maternal circadian signals. They are often cared for over prolonged periods of hospitalisation in neonatal intensive care units (NICU), where environmental circadian stimuli are lacking. Exposure to artificial light-dark cycles may stimulate the development of the circadian system and improve clinical outcomes.

Duplicate pharmacokinetic profiles in bioequivalence trials is an issue which has caused hundreds of retracted marketing authorizations. No formal test for profile duplication exists in spite of the existence of profile comparison algorithms, so defining a threshold that distinguishes a naturally occurring pair from a duplication remains difficult. An idea called ISPR (incurred subject period analysis) was aired in 2023 and is evaluated in this paper along with three new profile comparison methods.
