The Galerkin approach for numerically resolving higher-order Complex Differential Equations (CDEs) in a rectangular domain in the complex plane is presented in this work. Taylor polynomial functions are used in this method as basis or weighted functions. The CDE is converted into a matrix equation by employing the proposed method.

Photoacoustic imaging (PAI) is a developing image modality that benefits from light-matter interaction and low acoustic attenuation to provide functional information on tissue composition at relatively large depths. Several studies have reported the potential of dichroism-sensitive photoacoustic (DS-PA) imaging to expand PAI capabilities by obtaining morphological information of tissue regarding anisotropy and predominant orientation. However, most of these studies have limited their analysis to superficial scanning of samples, where fluence effects are negligible.

The spatial transcriptomics is a rapidly evolving biological technology that simultaneously measures the gene expression profiles and the spatial locations of spots. With progressive advances, current spatial transcriptomic techniques can achieve the cellular or even the subcellular resolution, making it possible to explore the fine-grained spatial pattern of cell types within one tissue section. However, most existing cell spatial clustering methods require a correct specification of the cell type number, which is hard to determine in the practical exploratory data analysis.

Correct measurement results from in vitro diagnostic (IVD) medical devices (MD) are crucial for optimal patient care. The performance of IVD-MDs is often assessed through method comparison studies. Such studies can be compromised by the influence of various factors.

Objective: The aim of the study is to verify whether the electronic nose system - an array of 17 gas sensors with a signal analysis system - is a useful tool for the classification and preliminary assessment of the quality of drainage water.
Material And Methods: Water samples for analysis were collected in the Park Ludowy (People's Park), located next to the Bystrzyca River, near the city center of Lublin in eastern Poland. Drainage water was sampled at 4 different points.
