Background: Population mail-out bowel cancer screening programs save lives through prevention and early detection; however, their effectiveness is constrained by low participation rates. Many non-participants are "intenders"; that is, they intend to screen but fail to do so, often forgetting or procrastinating. This study aimed to co-design interventions to increase screening participation among intenders in the Australian National Bowel Cancer Screening Program.

Purpose Of Review: Cervical cancer can be eliminated as a public health problem through a three-pillar approach including high coverage of human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination and HPV-based cervical screening, and treatment of precancers and invasive cancers. However, access inequities prevent many women and people with a cervix benefitting from these life-saving advances. This review focuses on evidence-based interventions that can improve equity and scale-up of cervical screening.

Introduction: Travelling for cancer treatment comes with unique challenges, particularly for a young patient and his or her family. The aims of this study were to (1) gain an understanding of the experiences of families and patients who travelled overseas (OS) from Australia for proton beam therapy (PBT) and (2) identify the supportive care needs patients and their families require when living away from home, while having PBT.
Methods: This was a retrospective, qualitative study using semi-structured interviews, conducted with participants aged under 25 years and their families who travelled OS for PBT between 2017 and 2020.

This study aimed to explore how people with myasthenia gravis experience impairments in vision, dizziness, hearing, and fatigue, and how these relate to balance confidence, community participation, and health-related quality of life. Additionally, this study investigated the utilisation and perception of the allied health role in managing these impairments in the Australian context. Visual and hearing impairments, along with fatigue, were found to be correlated with health-related quality of life and community participation to varying degrees, while visual impairment and dizziness were correlated with balance confidence.

WHAT IS KNOWN ON THE SUBJECT?: The mental health needs of individuals are increasing following the COVID-19 pandemic, with a need to focus on the education of nurses to be equipped to respond. Stigma around mental health still exists for nursing students, with the implementation of mental health education by an individual with lived experience having a known positive effect on stigmatizing attitudes. Research on consumer involvement in nursing education identifies that the consumer role is often varied and casual, with no existing review on the consumer experience.
