Recently, triple (H /O /e ) conducting oxides (TCOs) have shown tremendous potential to improve the performance of various types of energy conversion and storage applications. The systematic understanding of the TCO is limited by the difficulty of properly identifying the proton movement in the TCO. Herein, the isotope exchange diffusion profile (IEDP) method is employed via time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry to evaluate kinetic properties of proton in the layered perovskite-type TCOs, PrBa Sr Co Fe O (PBSCF).Within the strategy, the PBSCF shows two orders of magnitude higher proton tracer diffusion coefficient (D , 1.04 × 10  cm s at 550 °C) than its oxygen tracer diffusion coefficient at even higher temperature range (D 1.9 × 10  cm s at 590 °C). Also, the surface exchange coefficient of a proton (k* ) is successfully obtained in the value of 2.60 × 10  cm s at 550 °C. In this research, an innovative way is provided to quantify the proton kinetic properties (D and k* ) of TCOs being a crucial indicator for characterizing the electrochemical behavior of proton and the mechanism of electrode reactions.

Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a heterogeneous breast cancer subtype characterized by aggressive clinical behavior and poor prognosis. The immune landscape associated with TNBC often reveals high immunogenicity. Therefore, immunotherapy, which has demonstrated its efficacy in different cancer types, could be a promising strategy for TNBC, given the limited therapeutic options currently available besides conventional chemotherapy.

RAMIE: retrieval-augmented multi-task information extraction with large language models on dietary supplements.

J Am Med Inform Assoc

January 2025

Division of Computational Health Sciences, Department of Surgery, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN 55455, United States.

Objective: To develop an advanced multi-task large language model (LLM) framework for extracting diverse types of information about dietary supplements (DSs) from clinical records.

Methods: We focused on 4 core DS information extraction tasks: named entity recognition (2 949 clinical sentences), relation extraction (4 892 sentences), triple extraction (2 949 sentences), and usage classification (2 460 sentences). To address these tasks, we introduced the retrieval-augmented multi-task information extraction (RAMIE) framework, which incorporates: (1) instruction fine-tuning with task-specific prompts; (2) multi-task training of LLMs to enhance storage efficiency and reduce training costs; and (3) retrieval-augmented generation, which retrieves similar examples from the training set to improve task performance.

Background: Audio-analgesia is one of the unexplored aspects of behavior management in pediatric dentistry, and recently, there have been many new inclusions in shades of noise that were previously just limited to white noise, like brown noise and pink noise.

Aim: The aim of the study was to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of white noise, brown noise, and pink noise on dental anxiety in pediatric patients undergoing primary tooth extraction.

Study Settings And Design: Multiarm, triple-blinded, parallel-group randomized controlled trial.

Study on Quantitative Adjustment of CD Bias and Profile Angle in the Wet Etching of Cu-Based Stacked Electrode.

Materials (Basel)

December 2024

Chongqing Key Laboratory of Interface Physics in Energy Conversion, College of Physics, Chongqing University, Chongqing 400044, China.

The electrodes of thin film transistors (TFTs) have evolved from conventional single Cu layers to multi-layered structures formed by Cu and other metals or alloys. Different etching rates of various metals and galvanic corrosion between distinct metals may cause etching defects such as rough or uneven cross-sectional surfaces of stacked electrodes. Therefore, the etching of stacked electrodes faces new challenges.

Rationale: Triple gallbladder is a rare congenital anatomical abnormality because of the incomplete regression of rudimentary bile ducts and is often not found until it is accidentally detected during imaging research.

Patient Concerns: We report a rare case of triple gallbladder malformation and review the English literature on biliary tract variation caused by gallbladder malformation. The diagnosis, treatment, and postoperative situation of the patients were summarized and analyzed.
