Published: May 2021

Lindau is a member of the family Acanthaceae, which was originated from Yunnan province of China and is used as tea and health promotion. Here, we reported the complete chloroplast genome sequence of using Illumina high-throughput sequencing approach. The size of the chloroplast genome is 144,765 bp in length, containing a pair of inverted repeats (IRs, 17,362 bp) that are separated by the large single-copy (LSC, 92,248 bp), and small single-copy (SSC, 17,793 bp) regions. A total of 129 genes were identified, including 37 tRNA genes, 8 rRNA genes, and 84 protein-coding genes. The overall GC content is 38.21%. Phylogenetic analysis indicated that is closely related to and .

Background: Dioscorea polystachya and its closely related species are original plants of the tuber crop "yam", which had been intensively use for medicinal and food purposes and widely cultivated in northern China and its surrounding areas with a long history. Many cultivars of these species are often confused with one another because of similar tuber morphology, however, conventional DNA barcoding faces practical limitations restricting the method to effectively identify closely related species. In addition, phylogenetic relationships among various cultivar groups of Chinese yam (D.

Background: Caryophyllaceae contains 100 genera and 3000 species, many of which are valuable both ecologically and economically. However, as past research has shown, the fundamental phylogenetic relationships of Caryophyllaceae are still debatable, and molecular dating based on chloroplast genomes has not been thoroughly examined for the entire family.

Methods: In this study, the complete chloroplast genome sequences of Arenaria kansuensis Maxim.

This area accounts for more than 80% of the total cultivation and yield in China. Despite its importance, comprehensive studies on the chloroplast (cp) genome of are limited.

Background: Vernicia montana and V. fordii are economically important woody oil species in the Euphorbiaceae that have great industrial oil and ornamental greening properties, however, the wild resources of Vernicia trees have been reduced because of their habitat destruction. Considering the diverse economic and ecological importance of Vernicia species, it is important to collect more molecular data to determine the genetic differences between V.

The Malvaceae family, comprising 9 subfamilies and 4,225 species, includes economically significant taxa, such as Ceiba pentandra, Gossypium ekmanianum, Gossypium stephensii, Kokia drynarioides, Talipariti hamabo, and Durio zibethinus. Chloroplast (cp) genome research is crucial for elucidating the evolutionary divergence and species identification within this family. In this study, we assembled and annotated cp genomes of six Malvaceae species, conducting comprehensive comparative genomic and phylogenomic analyses.
