Introduction: Anorectal melanoma (ARM) is rare and highly lethal neoplasm. It has a poorer prognosis compared with cutaneous ones. Sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) has become the preferred method of nodal staging method for cutaneous melanoma.

Bone marrow adipose tissue (BMAT) has garnered significant attention due to its critical roles in leukemia pathogenesis, cancer metastasis, and bone marrow failure. BMAT is a metabolically active, distinct tissue that differs from other fat depots. Marrow adipocytes, closely interacting with hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells and osteoblasts, play a pivotal role in regulating their functions.

Objective: Our study investigated how arecoline-induced extracellular vesicle (EV) secretion suppresses PAX1 protein production through DNA hypermethylation and examined whether PAX1 downregulation enhances cancer stemness and immunosuppression in the tumor microenvironment.

Materials And Methods: EVs were isolated from SAS/TW2.6 cancer cell lines using ultracentrifugation and identified using transmission electron microscopy.

Artocarpus lakoocha agglutinin (ALA), which specifically targets the Gal/GalNAc components of complex glycans, was isolated from the seeds of Artocarpus lakoocha. This study is the first to explore the role of ALA in identifying aberrant glycans, designated ALA-binding glycans (ALAG), and its implications in cholangiocarcinoma (CCA). ALA-histochemistry was used to evaluate ALAG expression in liver fluke-induced CCA tissues from hamsters (n = 60).

Exosomal miR-552-5p Regulates the Role of NK Cells in EMT of Gastric Cancer via the PD-1/PD-L1 Axis.

Department of Gastroenterology and Respiratory Internal Medicine & Endoscopy Center, Guangxi Medical University Cancer Hospital, Nanning, Guangxi 530021, P.R. China.

While previous studies have established the role of exosomal miR-552-5p in promoting gastric cancer (GC) progression, the exact mechanisms through which it modulates the PD-1/PD-L1 axis to affect NK cell function and subsequently influence GC epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) remain to be elucidated. Western blot, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and nanoparticle tracking analysis were used to characterize exosomes that were isolated from GC cell supernatants. Subcutaneous AGS cell injections expressing either Lv-miR-552-5p or Lv-NC were administered to nude BALB/C mice.
