Boron complexes of 1,5-bidentate nitrogen ligands with a thiazole linker were synthesized by the halogenation of 5-H thiazoles followed by Buchwald-Hartwig amination and complexation with BF·EtO. These boron complexes showed a large Stokes shift of up to 125 nm, which is in marked contrast to that observed for ordinary BODIPYs. The absorption and emission spectra of the boron complexes were almost independent of the substituents in the complexes as well as the solvents used for the measurement. The nitrogen atom of the pyridyl group attached to the thiazole ring acted as a Lewis base which accepted Lewis and Brønsted acids to lead to a prominent red-shift of the absorption bands. Addition of tris(pentafluorophenyl)borane, B(CF), to the boron complex led to a significant red-shift of the absorption band. Likewise, addition of triflic acid (TfOH) and trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) resulted in the emergence of a new absorption band at a longer wavelength accompanied by fluorescence quenching phenomena. DFT calculations show that the energy gap between HOMO and LUMO of the complex significantly decreases after protonation of the nitrogen atom in the acceptor unit of the boron complex.

The isolation of nucleophilic boron bases has led to a paradigm shift in boron chemistry. Previous studies of the bis(carbene) borylene complexes revealed that these compounds possess strong donor abilities, and their reaction inertness is due to the large steric hindrance between boron reagents and reactant. In the present study, we have theoretically studied the [(N)BX] and [(N)BX] compounds (X = H, F, Cl, Br).

Interspecific hybridization between relative species (with a diploid genome designated as TT), (EE) and (NN) and the successive polyploidization with transitions from sexuality to asexuality experienced by triploid hybrids likely influence their chromosomal rearrangements, including rearrangements of ribosomal DNA (rDNA) distribution patterns. Previously, we documented distinct karyotypic differences: exhibited bi-armed chromosomes while showed uni-armed chromosomes with rDNA-positive hybridization signals, respectively. In this study, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) with rDNA and rDNA probes was used to analyze and compare chromosomal distribution patterns of rDNAs in clonally reproduced triploid hybrids of different genomic constitutions ETT, ETN, EEN and EET (referred to using acronyms denoting the haploid genomes of their parent species), and their parental species.

Matteson homologation, a successive extension of chiral boronic esters, is perfectly suited for the synthesis of complex molecular structures containing several stereogenic centers. The "classical version" allows the introduction of various functional groups in a 1,2--configuration. The absolute configuration is determined by the choice of the chiral auxiliary, which can be used to introduce several stereogenic centers.

In this present study, we developed and characterized a series of supramolecular G4 hydrogels by integrating -cyclodextrin (-CD) and boronic acid linkers into a supramolecular matrix to enhance antibacterial activity against (). We systematically investigated how varying the number of free boronic acid moieties (ranging from two to six), along with guanosine and β-CD content, influences both the structural integrity and antimicrobial efficacy of these materials. Comprehensive characterization using FTIR, circular dichroism, X-ray diffraction, SEM, AFM, and rheological measurements confirmed successful synthesis and revealed that higher boronic acid content correlated with a stronger, more organized network.

Background: Breast cancer remains a leading cause of mortality among women, driven by the molecular complexity of its various subtypes. This study aimed to investigate the differential expression of genes and miRNAs involved in the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway, a critical regulator of cancer progression.

Methods: We analyzed tumor tissues from five breast cancer subtypes-luminal A, luminal B HER2-negative, luminal B HER2-positive, HER2-positive, and triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC)-and compared them with non-cancerous tissues.
