While entecavir (ETV) and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF) effectively manage chronic hepatitis B, their long-term effects on lipid metabolism and cardiovascular outcomes remain unclear. This study compares the impact of ETV, TDF, and treatment-naïve (control group) on hyperlipidemia and major adverse cardiac events (MACE) in people living with chronic hepatitis B (PLWHB). We used claim data from the South Korean National Health Insurance Service.

Objectives: The purpose of the present prospective case series was to investigate the clinical and radiological outcome of one-piece zirconia implants fabricated from 3Y-TZP with a moderately roughened endosseous surface (Sa = 1.24 μm) to support three-unit fixed dental prostheses (FDP) after five years in function.
Materials And Methods: Twenty-seven patients received a total of 54 implants in a one-stage surgery with immediate provisionalization.

Background: Patients with asthma exhibit a significantly heightened susceptibility to eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) when compared to the general population. Vigilance for EGPA manifestations is crucial, especially in cases where asthma remains poorly controlled despite high-dose corticosteroid therapy or when eosinophil counts exceed 5%. The diagnosis of EGPA can be complex due to the absence of definitive biomarkers, as indicated by the American College of Rheumatology (ACR)'s 1990 classification criteria.

Background: Fatal arrhythmic events (FAEs), such as sudden cardiac death (SCD) and fatal ventricular arrhythmias, are a devastating complication in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). Therefore, in this study we aimed to assess the incidence of FAEs in more recent Japanese patients with CAD and to examine whether risk stratification of FAEs can still be feasible using the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF).
Methods And Results: In the CREDO Kyoto PCI/CABG registry cohorts-2 and -3, there were 25,843 patients with LVEF data who received a first coronary revascularization (LVEF ≤35% group: N=1,671, 35%

Background & Aims: Current guidelines recommend a 2-step approach for risk stratification in patients with metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) with Fibrosis-4 index (FIB-4) followed by liver stiffness measurement (LSM) by vibration-controlled transient elastography (VCTE) or similar second-line tests. This study aimed to examine to prognostic performance of this approach.
Methods: The VCTE-Prognosis Study was a longitudinal study of patients with MASLD who had undergone VCTE examinations at 16 centres from the US, Europe and Asia with subsequent follow-up for clinical events.
