Quantitative accuracy and constancy of Siemens xSPECT Bone quantitative reconstruction algorithm (xBone) can be monitored using activity-filled hollow spheres, which could be 3D printed (3DP) to increase accessibility to phantoms. One concern is that 3D prints can have air gaps in the walls which may pose issues for attenuation correction and xBone tissue zone mapping. This study assessed the feasibility of using 3DP spheres (3DP-S) with materials PLA, PETG and Resin as substitutes for commercial hollow spheres (C-S).

Health equity matters, but there is no universally accepted definition of this or associated terms, such as inequities, inequalities, and disparities. Given the flexibility of these terms, investigating how policymakers understand them is important to observe priorities and perhaps course correct. Accordingly, this study analyzed the perceptions high-level policymakers within the WHO African Region.

We provide a technical description and experimental results of the practical development and offline testing of an innovative, closed-loop, adaptive mirror system capable of making rapid, precise and ultra-stable changes in the size and shape of reflected X-ray beams generated at synchrotron light and free-electron laser facilities. The optical surface of a piezoelectric bimorph deformable mirror is continuously monitored at 20 kHz by an array of interferometric sensors. This matrix of height data is autonomously converted into voltage commands that are sent at 1 Hz to the piezo actuators to modify the shape of the mirror optical surface.

Methods: From the elevation of the anterior cornea and the refractive error of the eye, the target cornea can be calculated and the difference between actual and target cornea corresponds to the tissue to be removed. In this approach, it is further possible to preset the ablation depth at one (Model 1) or two (Models 2 and 3) particular locations.
