Introduction: With the introduction of increasingly powerful audio equipment and increase of personal mobile audio devices in the 21st century, the prevalence of noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) in young adults is expected to increase. This increase, estimated to impact 30 million adults in the next four decades, is due in part to recreational exposure. While many young adults have a general understanding of NIHL, a detailed education on various topics of NIHL could further promote adherence to the use of preventive measures.

Purpose: Unrelated haematopoietic stem cell donors face physical and psychological discomforts, which aggravate their fear and hesitation and reduce their consent rate and donation efficiency. However, the available experience in the management of these symptoms is insufficient, and strong evidence and guidance are lacking. The symptom experiences of Chinese unrelated haematopoietic stem cell donors were explored.

Methods: We conducted a quantitative, epidemiological, cross-sectional web-based survey from February 2023 to April 2023. A private questionnaire was distributed to young women (21-30 years) living in Belgium via a digital link.

Anti-science movements brought more than public distrust in science. Perhaps even more worryingly, these movements are also associated with instances of harassment of-and violence against-scientists. However, virtually nothing is known about individuals likely to harass or harm scientists.
