Technological breakthroughs in energy storage are being driven by the development of next-generation supercapacitors with favorable features besides high-power density and cycling stability. In this innovation, graphene and its derived materials play an active role. Here, the research status of graphene supercapacitors is analyzed. Recent progress is outlined in graphene assembly, exfoliation, and processing techniques. In addition, electrochemical and electrical attributes that are increasingly valued in next-generation supercapacitors are highlighted along with a summary of the latest research addressing chemical modification of graphene and its derivatives for future supercapacitors. The challenges and solutions discussed in the review hopefully will shed light on the commercialization of graphene and a broader genre of 2D materials in energy storage applications.

The excessive accumulation of nitrate/nitrite (NO ) in surface and groundwater has severely disrupted the global nitrogen cycle and jeopardized public health. The electrochemical conversion of NO to ammonia (NH) not only holds promise for ecofriendly NO removal, but also provides a green alternative to the energy-intensive Haber-Bosch process for NH production. Recently, in addition to the electrocatalyst design explosion in this field, many innovative valorization systems based on NO -to-NH conversion have been developed for generating energy and expanding the range of value-added products.

The ability to rapidly charge batteries is crucial for widespread electrification across a number of key sectors, including transportation, grid storage, and portable electronics. Nevertheless, conventional Li-ion batteries with organic liquid electrolytes face significant technical challenges in achieving rapid charging rates without sacrificing electrochemical efficiency and safety. Solid-state batteries (SSBs) offer intrinsic stability and safety over their liquid counterparts, which can potentially bring exciting opportunities for fast charging applications.

Cholesterol (Cho) is commonly used to stabilize nanoliposomes; however, there is controversy on the relationship between Cho and health. In this study, we developed a novel multifunctional nanoliposome utilizing structurally similar sitogluside (SG) and dioscin (Dio) instead of Cho to anchor the phospholipid bilayer and synergistically modulate the membrane properties of the nanoliposome (DPPC or DOPC). The storage and gastrointestinal tract stability experiment demonstrated that the changes of physical and chemical properties, including the significantly reduced size and Dio retention rate of nanoliposomes synergistically modulated by SG and Dio compared to those of SG alone, regulated nanoliposomes.

ConspectusOrganic mixed ionic electronic conductors (OMIECs) represent an exciting and emerging class of materials that have recently revitalized the field of organic semiconductors. OMIECs are particularly attractive because they allow both ionic and electronic transport while retaining the inherent benefits of organic semiconducting materials such as mechanical conformability and biocompatibility. These combined properties make the OMIECs ideal for applications in bioelectronics, energy storage, neuromorphic computing, and electrochemical transistors for sensing.

Slow oxidation of coal during storage and transportation poses significant risks, making it essential to identify hot spots and understand the heat generation and gas production patterns in coal stockpiles. This study leverages the advantages of adiabatic oxidation experiments, which account for time effects, to accurately describe the low-temperature oxidation process of coal through warming and gas production dimensions. Additionally, the warming and gas production patterns of three-dimensional coal stockpiles with varying stacking parameters were investigated.
