Introduction: The purpose was to compare robotic assisted (RA), computer navigated (CN), and conventional UKA techniques.
Methods: Databases were queried for data on study characteristics, UKA systems, complications, and tibiofemoral alignment.
Results: Four RA and six CN RCTs were identified. No significant differences were found in operative time, tibiofemoral alignment, and reoperation rates when comparing RA or CN to conventional UKA. RA UKA resulted in a significantly lower risk of complications compared to conventional UKA.
Conclusions: RA UKA results in fewer complications than conventional UKA with a clinically significant increase in operative time. All groups were similar in remaining evaluated parameters.

Purpose: The objective of this study was to compare the clinical outcomes 2 years following surgery between robotic-arm assisted bi-unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (bi-UKA) compared with conventional mechanically aligned total knee arthroplasty (TKA).
Methods: This is a single-centre, double-blinded, randomised controlled trial comparing bi-UKA and TKA. Patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) were collected from 60 patients (27 bi-UKA and 33 TKA patients) 2 years following surgery, including Oxford Knee Score (OKS), New Knee Society Score (NKSS), Forgotten Joint Score, EQ-5D-3L, UCLA activity scale, Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, Pain and Stiffness Visual Analogue Scales, Satisfaction and Range of Motion.

Soft contact lenses are a common mode of vision correction used worldwide. However, contact lens wearers often experience discomfort and are at risk of developing microbial infections. To address these issues, we designed Mel4-coated hyaluronic acid-laden etafilcon contact lenses to improve wettability while providing antimicrobial properties.

We herein report a case of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) that developed within the pancreatic duct and was initially diagnosed as an intraductal tubulopapillary neoplasm (ITPN). A 76-year-old man presented with weight loss and main pancreatic duct dilation. The imaging studies revealed a 30-mm hypovascular tumor within the main duct of the pancreatic head.

Introduction: Unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) is one of the treatment options for patients whose osteoarthritis involves one out of the 3 compartments. Patients who underwent UKA benefited from shorter hospital stays, better range of motion, and lower risk of postoperative complications compared with patients who underwent total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Hydrotherapy is being introduced complementary to conventional postoperative rehabilitation programs.

Background: With robotic advancements in UKA technology, we sought to explore if robotic-assisted UKA could translate to clinical benefits such as reduced hospital stays and lowered emergency readmissions. Also, current utilization trends of UKA and choice of procedure timing (unilateral [uUKA] vs. one-staged bilateral UKA [biUKA]) could be explored.
