A novel gold nanoparticle (Do-AuNP) was successfully synthesized from water extracts of traditional Chinese medicine (DO) without using any extra chemicals regents. The physicochemical properties of Do-AuNPs were analyzed by transmission electron microscopy, dynamic light scattering, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and atomic force microscopy. The amount of DO extract on the AuNPs was about 13%. In order to evaluate the anti-tumor efficiency and biosafety, the inhibitory rate of HepG2 cells and survival rate of L02 cells were performed , and the immunohistochemical analysis of H&E, Ki-67, and TUNEL staining were conducted . Our results demonstrated that Do-AuNP had better anti-tumor efficiency compared with DO extraction alone without increasing toxicity and . The present study provides useful information for Do-AuNP as a new nanomedicine for liver cancer.

Background: Metastasis is the primary cause of mortality in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), with the liver being a predominant site for distal metastasis. Despite this clinical significance, mechanisms underlying the interaction between SCLC and liver microenvironment, fostering metastasis, remain unclear.
Methods: SCLC patient tissue array, bioinformatics analysis were performed to demonstrate the role of periostin (POSTN) in SCLC progression, metastasis, and prognosis.

Background And Objective: Esophageal cancer (EC) is the seventh most prevalent cancer globally and the sixth leading cause of cancer-related mortality. This study aimed to provide an updated stratified assessment of rates in EC incidence, mortality, and disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs) from 1990 to 2021 by sex, age, and Socio-demographic Index (SDI) at global, regional, and national levels, as well as to project the future trends of EC both globally and regionally.
Methods: Data about age-standardized rates (ASRs) of incidence (ASIR), mortality (ASDR), probability of death (ASPoD) and DALYs (ASDALYRs) of EC were obtained from the 2021 Global Burden of Disease (GBD) study.

Small cell neuroendocrine cervical carcinoma is a highly aggressive tumor characterized by early metastasis, a high recurrence rate, and poor prognosis. This study represents the first instance of single-cell sequencing conducted on small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma of the cervix worldwide. Analysis of gene expression regulatory networks revealed that the transcription factor TFF3 drived up-regulation of ELF3.

Tribbles homolog 2 (TRIB2), a pseudoserine/threonine kinase, is a member of the TRIB family. TRIB2 primarily regulates cell proliferation through its scaffold or adaptor effect on promoting the degradation of target proteins by E3 ligase-dependent ubiquitination and regulating mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) and protein kinase B (AKT) signaling pathways. TRIB2 is not only involved in the physiological proliferation of cells (granulosa cells, myoblasts, naive T cells, and thymocytes) during normal development but also in the pathological proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells and a variety of cancer cells (lung cancer cells, liver cancer cells, leukemia cells, pancreatic cancer cells, gastric cancer cells, prostate cancer cells, thyroid cancer cells, cervical cancer cells, melanoma cells, colorectal cancer cells, ovarian cancer cells and osteosarcoma cells) under disease conditions.

Introduction: Gastrointestinal (GI) cancers account for over a quarter of all cancer-related deaths in the United States; however, the latest trends in their prevalence remain unclear.
Methods: Data on GI cancers were obtained from the Global Burden of Disease Study 2021. Age-standardized incidence rates (ASIR) and age-standardized mortality rates (ASMR) were estimated across various states, sexes, ages, and risk factors, and annual percentage changes were calculated.
