; To establish the performance of several drive and measurement patterns in EIT imaging of neural activity in peripheral nerve, which involves large impedance changes in the nerve's anisotropic length axis.; Twelve drive and measurement electrode patterns are compared using a finite element (FE) four-cylindrical shell model of a peripheral nerve and a 32 channel dual-ring nerve cuff. The central layer of the FE model contains impedance changes representative of neural activity of -0.30 in length axis and -8.8 × 10in the radial axis. Six of the electrode patterns generate longitudinal drive current, which runs parallel to the anisotropic axis, while the remaining six patterns generate transverse drive current, which runs perpendicular to the anisotropic axis.; Of the twelve patterns evaluated, transverse current patterns produce higher resolution than longitudinal current patterns but are also more susceptible to noise and errors, and exhibit poorer sensitivity to impedance changes in central sample locations. Three of the six longitudinal current patterns considered can reconstruct fascicle level impedance changes with up to 0.2 mV noise and error, which corresponds to between -5.5 and +0.18 dB of the normalised signal standard deviation. Reducing the spacing between the two electrode rings in all longitudinal current patterns reduced the signal to error ratio across all depth locations of the sample.; Electrode patterns which target the large impedance change in the anisotropic length axis can provide improved robustness against noise and errors, which is a critical step towards real time EIT imaging of neural activity in peripheral nerve.

Electrochemical water splitting is a pivotal technology for storing intermittent electricity from renewable sources into hydrogen fuel. However, its overall energy efficiency is impeded by the sluggish oxygen evolution reaction (OER) at the anode. In the quest to design high-performance anode catalysts for driving the OER under non-acidic conditions, iron (Fe) has emerged as a crucial element.

Visual processing is crucial for sports performance, influencing athletes' ability to interpret and respond to visual stimuli. This study investigated distinct visual processing patterns among Thai elite athletes in gymnastics, soccer, and esports, utilizing visual P300 event-related potentials (P300 ERPs). Forty-two female athletes (14 gymnasts, 14 soccer players, and 14 esports athletes) participated.

Objective: Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) is a non-invasive technique used for lung imaging. A significant challenge in EIT is reconstructing images of deeper thoracic regions due to the low sensitivity of boundary voltages to internal conductivity variations. The current injection pattern is decisive as it influences the current path, boundary voltages, and their sensitivity to tissue changes.

Sodium-metal batteries (SMBs) using solid-state polymer electrolytes (SPEs) show impressive superiority in energy density and safety. As promising candidates for SPEs, solid-state plastic crystal electrolytes (SPCE) based on succinonitrile (SN) plastic crystal could achieve high ion conductivity and wide voltage window. Nonetheless, the notorious SN decomposition reaction on the electrode/electrolyte interface seriously challenges the stable operation of the battery.

This study developed an electrochemical impedance combined with sensory evaluation method to achieve real-time imaging and quality assessment of pork. The optimal parameters for pork detection were determined through system performance tests and a Design of Experiment, which included the use of an adjacent excitation pattern, an excitation current of 15 mA at 10 kHz, a detector diameter of 5 cm, and stainless-steel electrodes embedded in the pork.
