: Sjögren's syndrome (SS), an autoimmune disease, was characterized by sicca syndrome and systemic manifestations, presenting significant treatment challenges. Exosomes, naturally derived nanoparticles containing bioactive molecules, have garnered interest in regenerative medicine. The present study aimed to elucidate the immunoregulatory properties and mechanism of exosomes obtained from the stem cells derived from human exfoliated deciduous teeth (SHED-exos) in SS-induced sialadenitis.

α-Halo borides are generally constructed Matteson homologation, and the synthesis of both fluorinated and functionalized ambiphilic boronates is challenging and has received inadequate attention. Herein, we describe the -methyliminodiacetyl boronate [B(MIDA)]-directed halogenation of alkenes a complementary sequence involving fluoroalkyl radical addition followed by guided radical-to-metal oxidative addition and C-X reductive elimination. The alkali cation and functional groups in B(MIDA) enable coulombic interaction and weak attraction with halogens, which could weaken the Pd-X bond and assist in C-X bond formation and is verified by DFT calculations.

Extracting fragmented cropland is essential for effective cropland management and sustainable agricultural development. However, extracting fragmented cropland presents significant challenges due to its irregular and blurred boundaries, as well as the diversity in crop types and distribution. Deep learning methods are widely used for land cover classification.

Transdifferentiation of rat keratinocyte progenitors to corneal epithelial cells by limbal niche via the STAT3/PI3K/AKT signaling pathway.

Stem Cell Res Ther

January 2025

Department of Ophthalmology, Union Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, No.1277 Jiefang Avenue, Wuhan, 430022, Hubei Province, China.

Purpose: To develop a method for enriching keratinocyte progenitor cells (KPCs) and establish a limbal niche (LN)-mediated transdifferentiation protocol of KPCs into corneal epithelial cells.

Methods: Limbal niche cells (LNCs) were isolated from limbal tissues through enzymatic digestion and characterized. Conditioned medium from LNCs cultures was collected.

Background And Aims: Increased intestinal permeability exacerbates the development of metabolic dysfunction associated steatohepatitis (MASH), but the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. Autophagy is important for maintaining normal intestinal permeability. Here, we investigated the impact of intestinal transcription factor EB (TFEB), a key regulator of autophagy, in intestinal permeability and MASH progression.
