Background: Marijuana, the most widely used illicit drug in the United States, sees increasing use due to legalization. Although moderate use is generally safe, adverse effects can occur, especially in those with preexisting conditions.

Aim: To quantify optic nerve hypoplasia (ONH) and septo-optic-pituitary dysplasia (SOD) morbidities and comorbidities.
Method: A retrospective population-based study with a case-control design was undertaken using administrative health data from Manitoba, Canada. Cases were 124 patients with ONH or SOD (70 males, 54 females; age range 6 months-36 years 8 months [mean 13 years, SD 7 years 2 months]) diagnosed from 1990 to 2019, matched to 620 unrelated population-based controls (350 males, 270 females; age range 0-36 years 8 months [mean 12 years 5 months, SD 7 years 2 months]) on birth year, sex, and area of residence.

Purpose: To compare health-related quality-of-life (HRQOL) between children with hyperkyphosis and idiopathic scoliosis using 9-item Oswestry Disability Index (ODI-9) and Patient Reported Outcome Measurement Information System (PROMIS) Pain Interference, Mobility, and Anxiety.
Methods: Children with hyperkyphosis, idiopathic scoliosis, and controls with no structural diagnosis ages 10-18 years who completed the PROMIS Pediatric Pain Interference, Mobility, and Anxiety domains were retrospectively evaluated from April 2021 to June 2023. Comparisons were made between hyperkyphosis, idiopathic scoliosis, and control groups.
