At-Risk Mental State (ARMS) services aim to prevent the onset of first-episode psychosis (FEP) in those with specific clinical or genetic risk markers. In England, ARMS services are currently expanding, but the accessibility of this preventative approach remains questionable, especially for a subgroup of FEP patients and those from specific ethnic minority communities. This commentary outlines the key debates about why a complimentary approach to psychosis prevention is necessary, and gives details for an innovative public health strategy, drawing on existing research and health prevention theory.

Multiple myeloma (MM), a hematologic malignancy characterized by the clonal expansion of plasma cells within the bone marrow, is associated with severe health complications, including osteolytic bone lesions that significantly increase the risk of fractures, leading to higher morbidity and mortality rates. One intriguing protein in this context is the RNA polymerase binding factor Che-1/AATF (Che-1), which has emerged as a potential player in the survival and proliferation of myeloma cells. Hippo pathway has been shown to be an important mediator of oncogenesis in solid tumors, especially for its role in shaping a tumor microenvironment favorable to cancer maintenance and spread.

Stability of the distal radioulnar joint, which varies among individuals, is dependent on the bony structure of the sigmoid notch and the surrounding soft tissues, such as the interosseous membrane, the extensor carpi ulnaris tendon, the pronator quadratus, and the deep radioulnar ligaments. In particular, avulsions of the deep radioulnar ligaments lead to instability and disturbed wrist proprioception.
