Four undescribed sulfoxide-containing derivatives, sinkiangenoxides A and B, (2, 4)-sinkiangenoxide C, and (2, 4)-sinkiangenoxide C (1:  - 4: ), and one known compound, 1-(methylthio)propyl ()-1-propenyl disulfide (5: ), were isolated from the resin of . Their structures were determined based on spectroscopic methods, including IR, UV, HRESIMS, NMR, and CD analysis. Compounds 2:  - 4: showed moderate cytotoxic activities against four human cancer cell lines with IC values ranging from 15.0 to 40.3 µM. Sinkiangenoxide B (2: ) was shown to induce apoptosis in HepG2 cells. In addition, compound 5: effectively attenuated lipopolysaccharide-induced nitric oxide release and TNF-, IL-1, IL-6, and IL-10 expression.

Peptide Nucleic Acids (PNAs) are an intriguing class of synthetic biomolecules with great potential in medicine. Although PNAs could be considered analogs of oligonucleotides, their synthesis is more like that of peptides. In both cases, a Solid-Phase Synthesis (SPS) approach is used.

Phytopathogens, such as phytopathogenic bacteria, fungi, and nematodes, have caused great losses of crops every year, seriously threatening human health and agricultural production. Moreover, marine-derived fungi are abundant sources of structurally unique and bioactive secondary metabolites that could be potential candidates for anti-phytopathogenic drugs. One new sulfoxide-containing bisabolane sesquiterpenoid aspersydosulfoxide A () and nine known analogues (-) were isolated from the marine-derived LW09.

Parahydrogen-induced polarisation (PHIP) is a nuclear spin hyperpolarisation technique employed to enhance NMR signals for a wide range of molecules. This is achieved by exploiting the chemical reactions of parahydrogen (para-H), the spin-0 isomer of H. These reactions break the molecular symmetry of para-H in a way that can produce dramatically enhanced NMR signals for reaction products, and are usually catalysed by a transition metal complex.

In recent years, cross-linking mass spectrometry (XL-MS) has made enormous strides as a technology for probing protein-protein interactions (PPIs) and elucidating architectures of multisubunit assemblies. To define conformational and interaction dynamics of protein complexes under different physiological conditions, various quantitative cross-linking mass spectrometry (QXL-MS) strategies based on stable isotope labeling have been developed. These QXL-MS approaches have effectively allowed comparative analysis of cross-links to determine their relative abundance changes at global scales.

Ladder-type molecules, which possess an extended aromatic backbone, are particularly sought within the optoelectronic field. In view of the potential of the 14-bis[1]benzothieno[3,2-:2',3'-]carbazole core as a p-type semiconductor, herein we studied a set of two derivatives featuring a different alkylation patterning. The followed synthetic route, involving various sulfurated carbazole-based molecules, also resulted in a source of fluorophores with different emitting behaviors.
