The German Infection Protection Act and country-specific laws demand appropriate measures to prevent nosocomial infections and propagation of pathogens, especially those with resistances. This also concerns outpatient surgery of the skin. Special focus is placed on hand hygiene, antiseptics, hygienic modes of operation and professional instrument reprocessing. The State of Uttarakhand, located in the Himalayan region of North India, suffered one of the worst flash floods on June 16, 2013 where 5700 were presumed dead or missing. Since then, the region has suffered two other major flooding events in 2021 and 2023. Background: The clinical translation of positron emission tomography (PET) radiotracers for cancer management presents complex challenges. We have developed consensus-based recommendations for preclinical and clinical assessment of novel and established radiotracers, applied to image different cancer types, to improve the standardisation of translational methodologies and accelerate clinical implementation.
Methods: A consensus process was developed using the RAND/UCLA Appropriateness Method (RAM) to gather insights from a multidisciplinary panel of 38 key stakeholders on the appropriateness of preclinical and clinical methodologies and stakeholder engagement for PET radiotracer translation.

Introduction: The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends the use of antiretroviral drugs as post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) for preventing HIV acquisition for occupational and non-occupational exposures. To inform the development of global WHO recommendations on PEP, we reviewed national guidelines of PEP for their recommendations.
Methods: Policies addressing PEP from 38 WHO HIV priority countries were obtained by searching governmental and non-governmental websites and consulting country and regional experts; these countries were selected based on HIV burden, new HIV acquisitions and the number of HIV-associated deaths.

Background: Meat is a good source of protein in the human diet, and more than three-quarters of the world's population consumes it. It is the most perishable food item since it has enough nutrients to enable microbial growth. In underdeveloped nations, animals are routinely slaughtered and sold in unsanitary conditions, compromising the bacteriological quality and safety of the meat received from the animals.

Background: Additive manufacturing or 3-dimensional (3D) printing is an emerging technology with increasing prevalence in non-industrial settings such as university and school settings. However, printers are often located in spaces not designed for this purpose.
Methods: 3D-printer use in 11 university and K-12 schools was evaluated by identifying emissions using area air sampling for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and particle counting instruments (PCIs) measuring ultrafine particulate (UFP) and evaluating controls to reduce potential exposure.
