Optical phased array (OPA) devices are being actively investigated to develop compact solid-state beam scanners, which are essential in fields such as LiDAR, free-space optical links, biophotonics, etc. Based on the unique nature of perfluorinated polymers, we propose a polymer waveguide OPA with the advantages of low driving power and high optical throughput. Unlike silicon photonic OPAs, the polymer OPAs enable sustainable phase distribution control during beam scanning, which reduces the burden of beamforming. Moreover, by incorporating a tunable wavelength laser comprising a polymer waveguide Bragg reflector, two-dimensional beam scanning is demonstrated, which facilitates the development of laser-integrated polymeric OPA beam scanners.

Objectives: This double-blind randomised crossover trial aimed to compare the aesthetic outcomes of CAD-CAM manufactured provisional restorations created using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) and intraoral scanners (IOS) acquisition methods.
Methods: Twelve participants (mean-age: 38 ± 5 years) requiring full mouth rehabilitation were included in this crossover trial. Two sets of identical CAD-CAM provisional restorations, differing only in the method of data acquisition (A: CBCT, B: IOS), were fabricated.

Accurately recording the deficiency of the three-dimensional position of dental implants and the predetermined occlusal relationship of edentulous jaws presents a significant challenge. This study aimed to achieve a truly digital workflow of immediate full-arch implant restoration by combinedcone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), photogrammetry (PG) devices, and intraoral scanners (IOS). This approach significantly reduces patient tooth loss time, minimizes the overall "chair time", and provides precise, comfortable, and efficient implant restoration treatment.

Background: In Proton Therapy, the presence of implants along the beam path is known to potentially affect the dose distribution. The way such implants are managed in the planning process can vary in the different treatment planning systems (TPSs) and different centers. A specific validation procedure should be accomplished to verify the accuracy of TPS computation in these conditions and accept the applied process before treating patients.

Small animal radiation experiments use a dedicated hardware platform to deliver radiation to small animals to support pre-clinical radiobiological studies. Image guidance is critical to achieve experiment accuracy. MR-based image guidance became recently available in human radiation therapy by integrating an MR scanner with a medical linear accelerator.
