Introduction: Pneumocephalus and pneumorrhachis are rare postoperative complications, commonly occurring within a few days to months after spinal surgery. They are very rarely reported after thoracic surgeries. This case highlights a unique presentation in the emergency department involving headache and vomiting caused by late complications following thoracic surgery with a titanium rib implant.

Background: Peripheral nerve blocks (PNBs) may be utilized for postoperative pain control following total hip arthroplasty (THA). The purpose of this study was to evaluate the association between PNBs and postoperative complication rates, healthcare utilization, and opioid consumption following elective THA.
Methods: Opioid-naive patients who received PNBs on the same day as undergoing THA for degenerative etiologies were identified from a large national database and matched 1:5 to a control cohort using propensity scoring.

This case report describes a rare instance of intraperitoneal rupture in a redegenerated uterine fibroid during pregnancy. A 38-year-old woman at 38 weeks gestation, with a history of a single pregnancy, presented with mild pelvic pain persisting through late pregnancy. An emergency caesarean section was performed due to acute fetal distress during labor.
