Chiral hybrid perovskites (CHPs), aggregating chirality and favorable semiconducting properties in one, have taken a prominent position in direct circularly polarized light detection (CPL). However, passive high circular polarization sensitivity () photodetection in CHPs is still elusive and challenging. Benefitting from efficient control and turning of carrier transport of CHPs by dimensional engineering, here, we unprecedentedly proposed a chain-to-layer dimensionality engineering to realize high- passive photodetection.

Highly active catalyst systems for polymerizing 2,6-dimethylphenol were studied by using aromatic amine ligands and copper(I) chloride. The aromatic amine ligands employed were pyridine, 1-methylimidazole, 2-aminopyridine, 3-aminopyridine, and 4-aminopyridine. A mixture of chloroform and methanol (9:1, /) was used as a polymerization solvent.

Adenovirus (Ad)-mediated cancer gene therapy has been proposed as a promising alternative to conventional therapy for cancer. However, success of systemically administered naked Ad has been limited due to the immunogenicity of Ad and the induction of hepatotoxicity caused by Ad's native tropism. In this study, we synthesized an epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-specific therapeutic antibody (ErbB)-conjugated and PEGylated poly(amidoamine) (PAMAM) dendrimer (PPE) for complexation with Ad.

Novel amphiphilic copolymers have been synthesized based on a biocompatible poly(hydroxyethylaspartamide) (PHEA) backbone, bearing both anchoring groups for gold nanoparticles, such as thiols and disulfide, and conjugable moieties, such as amino groups, the latter as points suitable for appending further functional agents. The strategy was to functionalize α,β-poly[(N-2-hydroxyethyl)-D,L-aspartamide] (PHEA) with PEG2000-NH2 and with ethylenediamine (EDA) obtaining a partially pegylated copolymer with a large number of pendant primary amino groups. A fraction of the latter was conjugated with molecules bearing terminal thiol moieties such as 12-mercaptododecanoic acid (MDA) and disulfide groups such as lipoic acid (LA), obtaining the two amphiphilic derivatives PHEA-PEG2000-EDA-MDA (PPE-MDA) and PHEA-PEG2000-EDA-LA (PPE-LA), which also proved intrinsically able to self-assemble in polymeric micelles.
