Untreated traumatic posterior dislocation of the elbow joint, 3 weeks or older, is defined as "neglected posterior dislocation of the elbow". Around 90% of these are of posterolateral type. These are much more common in the developing and underdeveloped countries. Patients presents with a deformed, stiff and painful elbow with difficulty to perform activities of daily living. The clinical picture looks quite similar to malunited supracondylar fracture of the elbow. Diagnosis is usually confirmed radiographically. CT and MRI scan give additional information and are recommended before embarking on surgery. Treatment is quite challenging due to the significant soft tissue contractures, ligamentous insufficiencies and fibrosis, with possible associated nerve injuries, myositis ossificans, non-compliant patients and the need for long-term postoperative physiotherapy. Goal of surgical treatment is to achieve a painless, stable and mobile elbow with a congruent joint space. We have reviewed the literature and present our view on the prognosis and recommended surgical technique to treat this condition.

Introduction: Spondyloepimetaphyseal dysplasia with joint laxity type 1 (SEMD-JL1) is an extremely rare skeletal dysplasia belonging to a group of disorders called linkeropathies. It is characterized by skeletal and connective tissue abnormalities. Biallelic variants in genes encoding enzymes that synthesize the tetrasaccharide linker region of glycosaminoglycans lead to linkeropathies, which exhibit clinical and phenotypic features that overlap with each other.

Optic capture of a three-piece lens in the absence of posterior capsule support is an effective strategy for stabilizing and sequestering the optic to reduce the risk of dislocation and UGH syndrome compared to sulcus placement. We present a novel technique that facilitates optic capture in the presence of a contracted, fibrotic rhexis opening, while minimizing stress on the zonules by using iris retractors to assist in stabilization and expansion of the rhexis, followed by direct injection of the optic of the lens behind the anterior capsule opening into an optic captured configuration.

Introduction: Bony and ligamentous ankle injuries are some of the most commonly treated injuries by orthopedic surgeons. Open ligamentous ankle injuries without an associated fracture or dislocation are rare and to our knowledge have only sparsely been described in the literature. We present a case and successful treatment of an open lateral ankle injury with capsular rupture and ligamentous damage without fracture or dislocation in a 22-year-old female.

Objective: To report the outcomes of transoral C2 osteotomy (or partial odontoidectomy) and posterior fixation, regarding efficacy and safety, in patients with severe irreducible atlantoaxial dislocation (IAAD) following odontoid fracture.
Methods: Transoral C2 osteotomy, soft tissue resection, with or without facet joint release, followed by posterior fixation were performed on 3 patients (2012, 2016, 2023) who were suffering from severe IAAD after an odontoid fracture with spinal cord compression. The radiological and clinical outcomes were then assessed.

Case: We report a case of a 29-year-old woman who sustained a left lateral sternoclavicular joint (SCJ) dislocation. Imaging demonstrated a 30-mm gap between the sternum and medial clavicle. Given well-preserved shoulder range of motion and well-controlled pain, she was ultimately treated nonoperatively.
