Background And Aims: Autoantibodies against apolipoprotein A-1 (AAA1) are elicited by SARS-CoV-2 infection and predict COVID-19 symptoms persistence at one year in adults, but whether this applies to children is unknown. Introduction: This ecologic study explores the relationship between the Social Vulnerability Index (SVI) and probable asthma-related emergency medical service (EMS) rates before and during the COVID-19 pandemic at the county level in Illinois.
Methods: The number of asthma-related EMS visits was obtained in all 102 counties for adults aged 18 years or more, and for 82 of these counties for children aged less than 18 from 2018 to 2021. They were converted into rates and examined in relation to SVI rankings.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, dietary habits in the population changed and sometimes deviated from healthy eating patterns, such as the Mediterranean diet. Based on reports on the quality of the diet of respondents to studies conducted at the beginning of the pandemic, it could be concluded that these new dietary habits are unfavorable for a good prognosis and the course of any disease and its severity of symptoms. This study decided to confront these assumptions with the results of people who had COVID-19.
