is a landmark history of five major research groups that have helped establish the empirical foundations of the Bowlby-Ainsworth attachment tradition. This essay highlights Duschinsky's use of historical methodology rather than the narrative-style review more familiar to psychologists. We then turn to a recurring theme in the book, the inconsistent use of language and theoretical misunderstandings, especially as they arise at the interface between attachment study and more applied disciplines. We discuss Duschinsky's sociological analysis of how these difficulties arose and are maintained and our own perspective, which emphasizes more difficulties attending communication across declining and emerging paradigms. We expect will be a significant asset as we try to establish new modes of collaboration and communication with educators, clinicians and other practitioners who work not with abstractions and populations but with individuals presenting complex histories and living complex lives.

Background: Dementia is undiagnosed among many older adults, and more than half the people in local communities live with symptoms of dementia are not properly treated.
Objective: The study aims to explore the relationship between decline of daily activities and the incidence of suspected dementia.
Methods: A two-stage sampling method was used to conduct a multicenter cross-sectional survey.

Mainstream anammox faces challenges in adapting to non-optimal temperatures and managing greenhouse gas emissions. This study investigates nitrogen removal and NO emissions in attached-growth anammox reactors subjected to rapid temperature shifts (15 - 55 °C). Temperature reductions to 15 - 25 °C had minimal impact on the anammox bacterial populations, with nitrogen removal rates of 0.

Oxytocin was hypothesised to play a critical role in forming and maintaining secure attachments, shown to confer resilience against affective disorders. The endogenous opioid system has also emerged as a key player in attachment dynamics. In this pre-registered systematic review, we investigated whether individual differences in the functioning of these neurochemical systems are related to attachment styles, following PRISMA guidelines.

Cell-extracellular matrix (ECM) interactions play multiple roles in developmental, physiological, and pathological processes. ECM stiffness substantially affects cellular morphology, migration, and function. In this study, we investigated the effect of ECM comprising gelatin methacryloyl (GelMA) on the activation of rat basophilic leukemia (RBL-2H3) cells, a model mast cell line.

In this work, several imidazo[1,2-]pyridines were synthesized through the Groebke-Blackburn-Bienaymé three-component reaction (GBB-3CR), and their phytotoxicity was evaluated by the influence on the growth of wheat coleoptiles and three important agricultural seeds (, , and ) at test concentrations of 1000, 300, 100, 30, and 10 μM. A structure-activity relationship was established, showing the importance of halogen groups at the position of the attached aromatic ring and the presence of a cyclohexylamine group for greater activity. Post-modification of some GBB-3CR adducts was carried out, leading to imidazo[1,2-]pyridine-tetrazole hybrids, which were also evaluated in these bioassays.
