The phytochemical investigation of the EtOAc-soluble fraction of the aerial parts of Lour. has been carried out to obtain seven compounds, including a new 8,3'-neolignan named solacanin A (). Their chemical structures were elucidated based on the spectroscopic data interpretation. All isolated compounds were tested for their -glucosidase inhibitory activity. Compounds and - showed inhibitory activity with IC values of 221.5, 18.9, 6.0, 104.1, and 219.7 M, respectively.[Formula: see text].

Plant extracts and bacterial biofilm are acknowledged to offer impressive corrosion-inhibitory activities. However, anticorrosive properties of their combination are still less reported. Thus, in the present study, we aimed to evaluate the corrosion inhibition efficiency of Saccharum officinarum bagasse (SOB) plant extract, Pseudomonas chlororaphis (P.

Receptors for the vasoactive adipokine apelin, termed APJ receptors, are G-protein-coupled receptors and are widely expressed throughout the cardiovascular system. APJ receptors can also signal via G-protein-independent pathways, including G-protein-coupled-receptor kinase 2 (GRK2), which inhibits nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) activity and nitric oxide (NO) production in endothelial cells. Apelin causes endothelium-dependent, NO-mediated relaxation of coronary arteries from normotensive animals, but the effects of activating APJ receptor signaling pathways in hypertensive coronary arteries are largely unknown.

Gray mold disease is caused by B. cinerea, which could severely reduce the production yield and quality of tomatoes. To explore more potential fungicides with new scaffolds for controlling the gray mold disease, ten aldehydes-thiourea derivatives were designed, synthesized and assayed for inhibitory activity against three plant pathogenic fungi.
