Objective: Smoking, with a prevalence of about 25%-30% in Switzerland, is proven to cause major systemic, avoidable diseases including lung cancer, increasing societies morbidity and mortality. Diverse strong quitting smoking recommendations have been made available providing advice facilitating smoking cessation globally. In other European countries like Germany, clinical practice guidelines for smoking cessation services have been implemented.

Background: PARP inhibitors (PARPi) are used in the treatment of ovarian, breast, pancreatic, and prostate cancers. Pneumonitis has been identified as a potential side effect, with a higher meta-analysis-assessed risk for olaparib versus other PARPi. Olaparib-induced interstitial lung disease (O-ILD) was first described within the Japanese population, with few information available for Caucasian patients.

Erectile dysfunction (ED) seems to be a widespread sexual issue in men affected by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Multiple causes appear to be involved such as hormonal imbalance, smoking habit, chronic inflammation, endothelial dysfunction, chronic hypoxia, psychiatric disorders (depression and anxiety), and medications. ED can have a significant impact on COPD men and consequently on their quality of life, which is usually already compromised.

Materials And Methods: A Delphi consensus project investigated the early management of COPD. We formulated two questionnaires for completion by pneumologists in Italy.
