Various light sources have been applied to enhance the bleaching effect. This study was to identify the histological evaluation in oral soft tissues, as well as tooth color change after tooth bleaching by nonthermal atmospheric pressure plasma (NAPP). Nine New Zealand adult female rabbits were randomly divided into three groups ( = 3): group 1 received no treatment; group 2 was treated with NAPP and 15% carbamide peroxide (CP), which contains 5.4% HO, and group 3 was treated with 15% CP without NAPP. Color change (Δ) was measured using the Shade Eye NCC colorimeter. Animals were euthanized one day later to analyze the histological responses occurring in oral soft tissues, including pulp, gingiva, tongue, buccal mucosa, and hard and soft palates. Changes in all samples were analyzed by hematoxylin and eosin staining and Masson's trichrome. Teeth treated with plasma showed higher ΔE than that obtained with bleaching agents alone. Overall, the histological characteristics observed no appreciable changes. The combinational treatment of plasma had not indicated inflammatory responses as well as thermal damages. NAPP did not cause histological damage in oral soft tissues during tooth bleaching. We suggest that NAPP could be a novel alternative energy source to conventional light sources for tooth bleaching.

Background: Home bleaching is a promising option for addressing discolored teeth conservatively. However, its impact on the physical and mechanical properties of indirect restorations remains unknown. This study provides comparative insights into the material responses to aesthetic treatments by assessing the effects of home bleaching agents on two hybrid ceramics: VITA ENAMIC and Grandio Blocs.

Background: This single-blind, noninferiority trial evaluated whether 10% carbamide peroxide (CP) applied for 2 or 4 hours daily is noninferior to 8 hours.

Methods: A total of 120 healthy adults, with teeth shade A2 or darker, were randomly allocated to 3 groups (n = 40). All participants used 10% CP gel in a bleaching tray for 2, 4, and 8 hours daily for 14 days, with the option to extend treatment if they were dissatisfied.

Background: Bleaching is a conservative treatment option to deliver esthetic smile makeover for discoloured tooth. Various concentration of bleaching agents can influence the bonding of the restoration to the tooth.

Aims And Objectives: The aim of the study was to determine the effect of glutathione on bond strength of composite resin to enamel following extra coronal bleaching at two different time intervals.

Purpose: To evaluate the effect of aging and bleaching on the physico-mechanical properties of the different filled resin composites.

Methods: Samples of resin composites [Arabesk (A), G-aenial Anterior (G), i-LIGHT N (I) and Palfique Estelite Paste (P) \ were first divided into two subgroups. Thermal aging was applied to half of the samples.

In-office teeth bleaching is an esthetic dental procedure performed to whiten teeth. A desensitizing procedure often requires prior in-office bleaching to relieve tooth hypersensitivity. The objective of this study was to evaluate the bleaching efficiency of teeth specimens pre-treated with different desensitizing agents by analyzing the color parameters.
