As an effective tool to unify discrete and continuous analysis, time scale calculus have been widely applied to study dynamic systems in both theoretical and practical aspects. In addition to such a classical role of unification, the dynamic equations on time scales have their own unique features which the difference and differential equations do not possess and these advantages have been highlighted in describing some complicated dynamical behavior in the hybrid time process. In this review article, we conduct a survey of abstract analysis and applied dynamic equations on hybrid time scales, some recent main results and the related developments on hybrid time scales will be reported and the future research related to this research field is discussed. The results presented in this article can be extended and generalized to study both pure mathematical analysis and real applications such as mathematical physics, biological dynamical models and neural networks, etc.

Background: Neuroimaging segmentation is increasingly important for diagnosing and planning treatments for neurological diseases. Manual segmentation is time-consuming, apart from being prone to human error and variability. Transformers are a promising deep learning approach for automated medical image segmentation.

Exploring continuous time crystals (CTCs) within the symmetric subspace of spin systems has been a subject of intensive research in recent times. Thus far, the stability of the time-crystal phase outside the symmetric subspace in such spin systems has gone largely unexplored. Here, we investigate the effect of including the asymmetric subspaces on the dynamics of CTCs in a driven dissipative spin model.

Background: Gene therapy is garnering increasing support due to its potential for a "once-delivered, lifelong benefit." The limitations of traditional gene delivery methods have spurred the advancement of bionanomaterials. Despite this progress, a thorough analysis of the evolution, current state, key contributors, focal studies, and future directions of nanomaterials in gene delivery remains absent.

Unlabelled: The hybrid closed-loop (HCL) system, Medtronic MiniMed 770G, has been available for use by Japanese individuals with type 1 diabetes mellitus since 2021. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of its use on glycemic variability and quality of life (QOL) in this population. This multicenter, open-label, prospective observational study included 14 Japanese individuals with type 1 diabetes mellitus treated with MiniMed 640G.

In Self-Consistent Field (SCF) calculations, the choice of initial guess plays a key role in determining the time-to-solution by influencing the number of iterations required for convergence. However, focusing solely on reducing iterations may overlook the computational cost associated with improving the accuracy of initial guesses. This study critically evaluates the effectiveness of two initial guess methods─basis set projection (BSP) and many-body expansion (MBE) on Hartree-Fock and hybrid Density Functional Theory (B3LYP and MN15) methods.
