Background/aim: Pharmacotherapy is vital in medicine, but inappropriate and inadequate use of medications significantly impacts global mortality and morbidity. Increased prescribing may indicate irrational use or prolonged illness, while decreased prescribing could suggest undertreatment, supply shortages, or the availability of safer and, more effective treatments. The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted health systems, potentially altering prescribing patterns.

Treatment options for patients with severe pulmonary embolism (PE) have increased substantially over the past decade. Although systemic thrombolysis is still the reperfusion therapy of choice for hemodynamically unstable PE patients, several new catheter guided reperfusion therapies have emerged as possibly safer alternatives. These therapies are increasingly implemented in clinical practice even though their efficacy and safety are yet to be proven by clinical outcome studies.

Group A rotavirus (RVA) is a major cause of severe gastroenteritis in infants and young children globally, despite the availability of live-attenuated vaccines. Challenges such as limited efficacy in low-income regions, safety concerns for immunocompromised individuals, and cold-chain dependency necessitate alternative vaccine strategies. Subunit vaccines, which use specific viral proteins to elicit immunity, provide a safer and more adaptable approach.

The article proposes a novel approach to assess rotor angle stability in microgrids by enhancing the Modified Galerkin Method (MGM), which is based on the Polynomial Approximation, using real-time RFID data acquisition. Due to their reliance on assumptions, traditional rotor angle stability methodologies frequently fail in online transient stability testing. MGM successfully captures the dynamic behavior of microgrids by approximating state variables using a sequence of polynomials and coefficients.
