Purpose: To remind eye care providers of the importance of obtaining vertical rasters in OCT evaluation of patients with suspected hypotony maculopathy.
Observations: OCT with vertical rasters may identify chorioretinal folds that are missed by ophthalmoscopic examination, fundus photography, and traditional OCT with horizontal rasters alone.
Conclusions And Importance: In patients with low IOP and decreased vision, OCT imaging with horizonal and vertical rasters should be obtained to diagnose hypotony maculopathy and monitor response to treatment.

Advances in the development of additive manufacturing materials (AM) and the low availability of studies on the impact response of AM specimens are the main reasons for this paper. Therefore, the influence of building orientation (vertical and horizontal) and the angle of the raster (15°/-75°, 30°/-60°, 45°/-45°, and 0°/90°) on the tensile and impact strength of AM specimens was investigated. The polylactic acid (PLA)-PolyMax, Mediflex and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) filaments were chosen to provide a comprehensive characterization of AM materials with versatile mechanical properties.

Spike raster plots of numerous neurons show vertical stripes, indicating that neurons exhibit synchronous activity in the brain. We seek to determine whether these coherent dynamics are caused by smooth brainwave activity or by something else. By analyzing biological data, we find that their cross-correlograms exhibit not only slow undulation but also a cusp at the origin, in addition to possible signs of monosynaptic connectivity.

An innovative method combining frontal filtration with ultraviolet (UV) curing has been implemented to design cellulosic nanocomposite films with controlled anisotropic textures from nanometric to micrometric length scales. Namely, an aqueous suspension containing poly (ethylene glycol) diacrylate polymer (PEGDA) as a photocurable polymer and cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) at a 70/30 mass ratio was processed by frontal filtration, followed by in-situ UV-curing in a dedicated cell. This procedure allowed designing nanocomposite films with highly oriented and densely-packed CNCs, homogeneously distributed in a PEGDA matrix over a thickness of ca.

Polymer materials are increasingly widely used in high-fire-risk applications, such as aviation interior components. This study aimed to compare the tensile, thermal, and flame-retardant properties of test samples made from ultra-performance materials, polyetherimide (PEI) and polyetherketoneketone (PEKK), using the fused filament fabrication process (FFF). The tensile tests were performed for these materials at different raster angles (0, 45, and 90°).
