Background: The genus Bousfield, 1984 is widely distributed in terrestrial and marine coastal habitats. It has been found from coastal South Africa through to the Indo-Pacific region and the Caribbean Sea in Central America. Two species of have been reported in Thailand, Wongkamhaeng et al. 2016 and Wongkamhaeng et al. 2016. This work reports on a new species of found at Kasetsart University in a man-made pond and neighbouring areas.
New Information: Classification of the new species was achieved by considering the left mandible 5-dentate; gnathopod 2 posterior margin merus carpus and propodus of gnathopod 2 covered in palmate setae, palm reaching about 33% along posterior margin; uropod 3 peduncle with three robust setae; telson dorsal mid-line half the length of its breadth and four robust setae per lobe.

This study aimed to produce a novel resistant maltodextrin (RMD) from the remaining starch in cassava pulp via pyrodextrinization and enzymatic hydrolysis. The optimum conditions involved a temperature of 180 °C, 0.5 % HCl, and a reaction time of 5 h, resulting in a significant RMD yield (18.

Recently, microsporidiosis caused by a microsporidian [Ecytonucleospora (Enterocytozoon) hepatopenaei, EHP] has been found to seriously impact the global shrimp industry. The aim of this study was to evaluate the therapeutic effects of fumaric acid (FA) in EHP-infected Pacific white shrimp (Penaeus vannamei). In the first 2 groups, non-EHP-infected shrimp were fed FA-supplemented (10 g/kg diet) or normal feed (CM+ and CM-, respectively).

(+)-Febrifugine, a natural antimalarial compound with a promising therapeutic profile, has become a hot target for synthetic chemists seeking to optimize its biological activity and expand its therapeutic applications. In this research, we present a stereocontrolled synthesis of (+)-febrifugine using both azide and azide-free approaches. Starting from the commercially available chiral pool precursor, d-glucose, the synthesis was completed in 20 steps for both approaches.

The utilization of liquid crystals (LC) as materials has enabled the enlargement of lenses with the potential to alter their focus. Tunable LC lenses with adjustable focus are essential for optical imaging, sensing, and detection devices. This technology offers many benefits, such as the ability to adjust focus, operate with low power, and be easily made.

Bats play key roles in ecosystem functions and provide services to human populations. There is a need to protect bat populations and to mitigate the risks associated with pathogen spillover. Caves are key habitats for many bat species, which use them as roosting and breeding sites.
