: Infidelity causes mental health problems, family disruptions, rumination about events and changes in women's beliefs about the disloyal person. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of mindfulness-based schema (MBS) therapy and forgiveness therapy in emotional responses, cognitive distortions and self-compassion of women affected by infidelity. It was an experimental research with a pretest-posttest and follow-up design. Eighty-one women affected by infidelity were randomly assigned to two experimental groups and one control group. The experimental groups received interventions for ten 90-minute weekly sessions. Participants completed the questionnaires in the pretest, post-test and follow-up. Repeated measures analysis of variance was used for statistical analysis. Both experimental groups were significantly different from the control group (<.01). Forgiveness therapy was more effective in emotional responses and self-compassion in the post-test (.01) and follow-up (<.001) stages. MBS therapy was more effective in cognitive distortions in the post-test and follow-up stages (<.001). Participants of experimental groups were responders and satisfied with treatment and had a good therapeutic relationship. Given the type of problems faced by women affected by infidelity, forgiveness therapy and MBS therapy can be used to reduce mental sufferings and communication problems.

Multiple next-generation molecules targeting estrogen receptor α (ERα) are being investigated in breast cancer clinical trials, encompassing thousands of women globally. Development of these molecules was partly motivated by the discovery of resistance-associated mutations in ESR1 (encodes ERα). Here, we studied the impact of ERα antagonist/degraders against Esr1 mutations expressed in mouse mammary glands.

Women who have experienced intimate partner violence (IPV) often encounter victim blaming from the general population, where individuals attribute responsibility to the victim's behavior for the violent episode. This phenomenon is influenced by levels of empathy, with lower empathy correlating with a higher likelihood of blaming women exposed to partner violence. Two studies were conducted.

While the critical role of NKX2-1 and its transcriptional targets in lung morphogenesis and pulmonary epithelial cell differentiation is increasingly known, mechanisms by which chromatin accessibility alters the epigenetic landscape and how NKX2-1 interacts with other co-activators required for alveolar epithelial cell differentiation and function are not well understood. Combined deletion of the histone methyl transferases Prdm3 and Prdm16 in early lung endoderm causes perinatal lethality due to respiratory failure from loss of AT2 cells and the accumulation of partially differentiated AT1 cells. Combination of single-cell RNA-seq, bulk ATAC-seq, and CUT&RUN data demonstrate that PRDM3 and PRDM16 regulate chromatin accessibility at NKX2-1 transcriptional targets critical for perinatal AT2 cell differentiation and surfactant homeostasis.

Jealousy may have evolved to motivate adaptive compensatory behavior in response to threats to a valued relationship. This suggests that jealousy follows a temporal sequence: A perceived relational threat induces state feelings of jealousy which in turn motivates compensatory behavior, such as mate retention effort. Yet to date, tests of this mediation model have been limited to cross-sectional data.
