Background: Nepal has been devastated by an unprecedented COVID-19 outbreak, affecting people emotionally, physically, and socially, resulting in significant morbidity and mortality. Approximately 10% of COVID-19 affected people have symptoms that last more than 3-4 weeks and experience numerous symptoms causing an impact on everyday functioning, social, and cognitive function. Thus, it is vital to know about the recovered patient's health status and undertake rigorous examinations to detect and treat infections.

In December 2019, coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) spread worldwide, with many speculations of cardiac involvement in the pathogenesis of infection. Moreover, in cases where cardiac symptoms were described, they consisted solely of chest pain or a general deterioration in health if the patient presented with pleural effusion or pericardial effusion.

Infections and disease caused by the obligate human pathogen Bordetella pertussis (Bp) are increasing, despite widespread vaccinations. The current acellular pertussis vaccines remain ineffective against nasopharyngeal colonization, carriage, and transmission. In this work, we tested the hypothesis that Bordetella polysaccharide (Bps), a member of the poly-β-1,6-N-acetyl-D-glucosamine (PNAG/PGA) family of polysaccharides promotes respiratory tract colonization of Bp by resisting killing by antimicrobial peptides (AMPs).

Objective: The association between daptomycin exposure and eosinophilic pneumonia (EP) is mainly based on case reports. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical characteristics and provide more evidence for better identify and management of daptomycin-induced eosinophilic pneumonia in clinical practice.
Methods: Literature from 1991 to October 31, 2021 on EP induced by daptomycin were collected for retrospective analysis.
