Recent advances in machine learning have enabled the development of next-generation predictive models for complex computational biology problems, thereby spurring the use of interpretable machine learning (IML) to unveil biological insights. However, guidelines for using IML in computational biology are generally underdeveloped. We provide an overview of IML methods and evaluation techniques and discuss common pitfalls encountered when applying IML methods to computational biology problems.

Objectives: Methods for enumeration and population-based health assessment for First Nations, Inuit, and Metis (FNIM) living in Canadian cities are underdeveloped, with resultant gaps in essential demographic, health, and health service access information. Our Health Counts (OHC) was designed to engage FNIM peoples in urban centres in "by community, for community" population health assessment and response.
Methods: The OHC methodology was designed to advance Indigenous self-determination and FNIM data sovereignty in urban contexts through deliberate application of Indigenous principles and linked implementation strategies.

Charitable lotteries are often portrayed as 'good works', and recently, hospitals have utilized them as a popular fundraising vehicle to raise necessary funds to help achieve organizational goals and objectives. Research indicates that lotteries contribute to gambling-related harms; however, research into charitable lotteries has been underdeveloped.
