Background: Ultrasonographic measurement of optic nerve sheath diameter (ONSD) has been proposed as a non-invasive, bedside method to detect raised intracranial pressure (ICP) in various clinical settings. We aimed to correlate the ONSD obtained by ultrasonography (USG) with the ONSD obtained by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and to find its measurement accuracy.
Methodology: A prospective double-blind study was carried out by performing ocular ultrasounds on 32 patients with clinical features of intracranial hypertension.

Objective: To quantitatively assess the retinal vascular tortuosity of patients with sickle cell disease (SCD) and retinopathy (SCR) using an automated deep learning (DL)-based pipeline.
Design: Cross-sectional study.
Subjects: Patients diagnosed with SCD and screened for SCR at an academic eye center between January 2015 and November 2022 were identified using electronic health records.
Background: Orthokeratology (OK) contact lenses are increasingly prescribed for myopia control but their impact on corneal epithelial immune cells (CEIC) is unclear. This study compares CEIC in OK wearers to soft contact lens (SCL) wearers and non-wearers.
Methods: In vivo confocal microscope images at the corneal central and mid-peripheral subbasal level were evaluated in 18 OK wearers, 18 SCL wearers and 18 non-wearers (mean age 27.

Dry eye disease (DED) is a complex and multifactorial ocular surface disease. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are of pivotal importance in the inflammatory processes and biological dysfunction associated with DED. In this study, an injectable hydrogel, designated as OHACDgel, was created by combining oxidized HA-containing aldehyde groups (OHA) and gelation (gel) via dynamic covalent linkages of the hydrazine bonds, is employed as the carrier, while polyethylene imine-functionalized carbon dots (PEI-CD) can form dynamic chemical bonds with the hydrogel, thus prolonging the retention time of the ocular.

Parinaud syndrome, also known as dorsal midbrain syndrome, is a condition affecting the dorsal midbrain region of the brainstem that presents with a triad of ophthalmic clinical findings, including upgaze paresis, convergence retraction nystagmus, and light-near dissociation. This case report will discuss the clinical presentation of Parinaud syndrome in a four-year-old patient who was seen in an out-patient clinic for intermittent exotropia 5 months after a suboccipital craniotomy resection of a pineal mass and ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt placement for associated hydrocephalus. Current literature is relatively sparse regarding the presentation of Parinaud syndrome in the pediatric population, with little known about prognosis and potential for recovery.
