Published: October 2022

Two new dimeric and trimeric sesquiterpene lactones (-), and nine known sesquiterpene lactones (-) were isolated from the EtOAc phase of the ethanolic extract of . Their structures were identified by NMR, IR and HR-ESIMS spectroscopic methods, and compound was confirmed by single crystal X-ray diffraction experiment. All the compounds were tested for their cytotoxic, anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory activities. Compounds , , , , , and showed very significant selective cytotoxic activities on MDA-MB-468, PANC-1, HEPG2 or A549 cells. Compounds and showed very significant inhibiting effect on (CPCC 400307), (CPCC 800013) or . Meanwhile, compounds and can inhibit the NLRP3 inflammasome's activation at the concentration of 10 M.
